First of all Happy Ied Mubarak for all Moslems in the world and eWorld.
Today i want to release my article about my interview with SoFA and dSG of Orion. This Interview has been recorded few weeks ago but i’m to busy to publish the article because i’m going to “Mudik”. I’m very sorry for the delay.



My first questions is i need them to introduce them self, about their name, where are they from in RL and their role in Orion.

SoFA : My name is Jordi, I’m from Barcelona, my nick is Jordic69 and i started playing the 19th of June, 2013. my role at Orion is a Secretary of Foreign Affairs. My main goal is to ensure communication within the alliance is smooth and to organize meetings when we need to discuss anything. I am also in charge of talking and negotiating with other agents in case it is needed. Of course, me and the rest of the HQ are also responsible on deciding the strategy of the alliance and what goals do we want to pursue.

dSG : Even if my real name is already somewhere on erep, i'd prefer to keep it secret 😉
In real life i'm close to 19, living in France. In game i'm azaraliiii, playing since december 2014.
This month i'm dSG of Orion, but during the last year i'v been SG, SoFA and general advisor every month. I first join Orion HQ last Summer during my first term as French MoFA and i didn't leave it since .


My next question is about the history of Orion. why they choose Orion as the name of the alliance and the main goal of Orion.

SoFA : Orion was founded after Leto by Iran, France and Sweden. But i was not there, so I can't really tell you much about that.The main goal of Orion is to provide peace and stability to our members. When that can not be achieved, it will provide assistance to defeat any threat. At the same time, it can as well help in offensive campaigns, but as said, its main purpose is to defend. France, Iran and Sweden got the initiative and Peru, Colombia and Canada joined them in the founding process as far as I know. I got no clue why they chose Orion as name. At that time using names of stars related with greek mythology was trendy (Sirius, Asteria, Leto...). Leto and Orion used to hunt together according to greek mythology, but idk if they got inspired by that.

dSG : Main goal of Orion is to protect each others, we are (and were with former members) close friends and allies. It was created after Leto was dissolved with the willingness to keep close to each other and not being in "danger". The founding fathers are Rylde (Former dictator of Canada), Faramond (Former dictator of Colombia), Niceone30 (Forme CP of France), Nader.ImmOrtal (Former dictator of Iran), L7.QualifiedWarrior (Former dictator of Peru), Sucateir0 (Former dictator of Portugal), Intyala (Former CP of Sweden) and Saiwun (Former Orion Governor). To be honest i dont know what this name was choosen, i was a newbie at this time and didn't pay attention to it.



The next question is about Orion member and enemy.

SoFA : Yes there is a change in member of the alliance.

Orion does not currently have any arch-enemy as you call it. That is one of the main problems of the game, everyone is on the same side. We were enemies with Syndicate in the past, but nothing too serious. I think we are open to talk about anything and finding a mutual agreement with almost everyone.

dSG : Orion doesn't have arch ennemies, we are dealing with the geopolitical changes as every country does. We are in good term with Pacifica these days, even if we had a war against them in early 2017. We also fought against mkd or spain last year and we now are allies. But there are some countries with which we have,'t been ally in 2 years, like chile, but nothing is impossible and (i hope) erep will continue to change.



What country you want and don’t want to be in Orion?

SoFA : I don’t want a specific country to join Orion at the moment. We analyze countries that want to get in on a one-by-one basis. I think we are happy with the current size, make an alliance too big and it will become extremely unstable, but you never know what can happen in the future. I don’t want any country that does not fit our current stance or, even if fitting it, any country that is unstable and will bring conflict into the alliance. We have a nice and peaceful relation between us all, there are no tensions and no one is trying to impose their will on the others. I don’t want any country that can threaten that.

dSG : There isn't any country i want in Orion. Everytime we had a new member, it happend cuz the country contacted us to join. We dont have interest to have too many members. And having a too strong country or a too weak country could be an error.
Countries i dont want in Orion are our current "ennemies" :3 Aka ex-Syndicate members.



Did you now Indonesia both in RL and in Game?

SoFA : Indonesia located between the Pacific and the Indian. I think it is a friendly country with whom some of our members had MPP in the past. Some of them still have it now. It recently had a baby-boom which I don’t know if it succeed. I know you still are one of the most populated countries in the eWorld but I don’t know i those citizens are active or what is going on with them. On the political side, Indonesia always stands for what it considers their friends and fights by them no matter the consequences. I find that loable and it makes it a country that deserves to be trusted. I don’t really know much about Indonesia in real life, but I know one day I would like to travel to South East Asia. Call it Indonesia, call it Thailand or Taiwan (Republic of China).

dSG : Ofc i know where indonesia is located 😃 In the north/North-West of Australia. To be honest i dont know much about indonesia ig and irl. IG they deserve to be stronger than they are, seeing the number of player there. IRL i know is Indonesia is the world's largest island country and the most populous muslim-majority country. I probably know other things but dont have them in mind atm .He admit it hard to choose between south east asia or North-West Australia.



Last questions is about eWorld Politic and Orion goal of June.

SoFA : As I said before, I see the world is gathering a lot of power in one of the sides, which is a natural outcome. But it is reducing the amount of interesting wars and it has been reduced to annihilation wars, where one side completely destroys the few countries that have not been able to position themselves with them. I think it is a pitty but I don’t really see an exit to this.

Regarding Orion, we are friends with Asteria and in a very good relation with the Nexus countries while we stand somewhat friendly with Pacifica. We had our battles in the past but we found a common ground and we even have crossed MPPs now (mainly with Poland and to a lesser degree Russia).

Military, we don’t have any specific goal, there is not a resource or strategic position we want, so there won’t be any major operation decided by the alliance. Countries can decide on their behalf if they want to start some war somewhere and the alliance will of course support, but there is no priority by the alliance to go war anywhere.

We had as a goal to improve communications and renew the charter. There are some parts of it that are outdated or don’t make sense. We want it to be more intuitive and based on recommendations instead of hard laws. Regarding communications, there have been some miscommunication issues in the last months so we are going to design a better way of communication.

dSG :I love the political game inside eRepublik, from my point of view thats the best module linked with the military one. Even if sometime politics are a bit ... "pussy"... Game could still be much more interesting. I'm not fan of the "All pro-Asteria" even if i understand the willingness to be pro Asteria (being close to them for a long time or trying to becoming it now). Orion goal this month was fixed by our SG, he is willing to increase our communication with our people, as some of us (especially in UK) dont feel concerned about Orion.
