(IPC) Mmm That New Party Smell!

Day 1,838, 07:57 Published in Canada Canada by Quim B. Muffins

New challenges are fraught with excitement and trepidation. When ElPatoDiablo, the current CP and founder of The Imperial Party of Canada backed out, the few of us that he had convinced to join the IPC, were left to decide what to do with his unwanted, but brand new play thing. The easy thing to do, would have been to quit the IPC and either become politically independent or join a large, established party and pretend none of this had happened. We could have done that, sure, but instead we decided to remain in EPD’s ‘mistake’ and turn it into an eCanadian success story. When life gives you lemons... polish that turd. Or something like that. Join us!

We are a new party, one that is still trying to sort itself out policy-wise. This means it’s carte blanche, we are open to new ideas. We welcome freethought and hardy debate. Each member, of course, has their own unique view as to how we can move the party and eCanada forward (yes, I know, that’s this month’s favourite catch phrase). So what we are going to do, is spend some time studying policy, crunching numbers and formulating a fiscal plan that we believe best meets the needs of eCanada. We are not even a week old, we would be doing a disservice to ourselves and eCanada if we failed to spend the time needed to define ourselves as a party or push policy ideas that haven’t been properly vetted. Our party fundamentals and policy initiatives are still in their infancy. Join us, help us define this party’s future.

This is us in a nutshell. We got off to a shaky start, but the madness of these first few days has only made us stronger. The Imperial Party of Canada is the brand new thing. We’re right out of the box. We still have that new party smell. Anyone up for a joy ride?
