Interview with Van Der Kaczy

We at The Utrecht Herald would like to bring back an old segment: interviews! The coming week we will focus on either new citizens or citizens that have not been in an interview in the past. Starting this edition with the former President of ePoland and currently eDutch citizen: Van Der Kaczy.


When did you start playing eRep, how did you find out about this game?
For the first time, it was June or July of 2009. I don't remember how I found out this game. I started in ePoland. I was there for few years, mainly managing the then biggest political party 'ND', but also I was CP, vCP and held a few minor positions.

What countries have you played for? Why did you at one point come to the eNetherlands?
The only two countries I played for are ePoland and eNetherlands. I remember I moved to eSpain for a week, just for fun.
Few years ago, eNetherlands was occupied by ePoland cause of resources that were here and I was one of first Polish Presidents that started talks with ElGorro about Dutch independence. After they agreed this with the President that came after me, I got an invitation from Gorilla which I accepted.

You have been quite politically active. Are you gunning for Country President anytime soon?
It is not only my decision even if I would like to. Here in ReL, every aspect of politics is discussed and everybody can make his/her statement. I was CP in eNL two times already and my hate for writing articles aside, I think im ready for more.

Let's move on to Foreign Affairs. What is your take on the Asteria vs. CODE conflict?
I am fully on Asteria side. I must say im also very glad we chose to go to Hydra - an alliance that cooperates with Asteria on a daily basis.

Who are the eNetherlands' greatest allies at this point and who its greatest enemies?
There is no 'greatest' or 'best' ally of us. Portugal, Bulgaria, Iran, the Hydra alliance or our friends in Orion are all great, they all helped us when we needed them.
There are also no true enemies of eNL. As we standing on Asteria side in this war, of course CODE is our enemy, but no hard feeling towards them. I heard in the past that countries like eTurkey would threaten us, but it is not actual now.

How would you describe current relations between the eNetherlands and your home country - ePoland?
They are awesome now. We can always trust ePL. They are a great TW partner and our shield if anything bad happens. Our relations are outside the Asteria/CODE conflict, it lasted before and I am sure it will last in the future.

Have you ever thought about leaving the eNetherlands? What countries would you consider going to?
To be honest, sometimes I do, especially when I have a squabble with someone. If it will ever happen it will be one of the Asteria countries or I will move back to my home - ePoland.

If there is one thing you could change immediately in the eNetherlands (politics, military, economy), what would it be?
Yes, I would give everybody XX legend 😂 But for real, I would love to see more active players here in the eNetherlands. I don't care about ranks or strength, I just wish for a nice big community that have fun and enjoy playing the game.
