[IA] Change of Command
King Trito Fisher
Citizens of the Republic,
I announce a change of command of the leadership of the IA.
Our president, Ante, has requested that Shelby, MoD, become the new commander. The reason for this switch is to bette facilitate communication between our government and our national MU.
Of course, the IA is the national MU, and I have agreed to the change of command.
I hope that Armanych will remain 2nd Commander, as he has always done an excellent job at the post, and I also hope that Shelby will continue to help the IA grow as a military unit, to better serve eIreland.
Thank you for your support these past few months!
And as always, feel welcome at any time to join YOUR Irish Army!
Eire Abu!
Commander Trito Fisher

Or join an independent Irish MU, Labour Peoples Army
https://www.erepublik.com/en/military/military-unit/702/overview
or help make eIreland more united... by joining the national MU
or by constantly proposing useless min wage law increases....
And you do realise the IA is not the official army of Ireland, that is some BS you forced on eIreland during your rein as CP.
Rusty the Irish Army's historical relationship with eIreland is far older than yours. tbf you just couldnt know.
Sometimes it has been recognized by our gov.
Sometimes our gov has chosen not to recognize it.
Regardless, Irish Army follows their orders.
actually as pointed out sweet the irish army has been redubbed the dude and is no longer a national army. so please dont refer to "our history". as to the new irish army as created by trito they have been the national army for 2 months now. rusty has been a member of ireland far longer than that. so in that regard your totally wrong.
idc what url its found at. Plato removed bricks&more from institutions, so the address doesn't matter. Institutions are made of ppl.
Many have tried to stamp it out while in power, but it just springs back up, that's the story of IA.
Despite that, if you were CP now, they'd still follow your orders, that's IA.
They are 1/2 the size of the country and still have low dmg, lol that's so IA.
It has Seanan in it, its definitely the IA!!!
I disagree - for one it was "The Irish Army" not Irish Army I can at any time return to the original name. well if its low damage then why make it the national army???sounds like a way to siphon money to your private army using semantics. well their damage is "pathetic" so shows you have little respect for your own country!
The Irish Army predates the MU module. Membership was determined by wearing one of the many varieties of uniforms available (often constructed to suit the wear's self expression) and adherence to the CP orders. Nowadays, it's easier to ensure adherence if the members are in the same MU (as DO is always going to be CP orders), but it shouldn't matter as long as orders are followed when it matters.
Back in the day, we had regular strikes organised by the Army, but open to everyone. Because if you fight in accordance with the eIrish CP's orders, and you're eIrish, then you part of eIreland's Army. The IA is the people who follow the CP's orders and express themselves as belonging to eIreland's military cohort in my books. That's been the ethos of the Army since it was founded, and commanders have the responsibility to ensure the Army is an inclusive space, and the ethos is respected.
@RTK. Your MU ceased to function as the Army's mechanical base when you try to run it as a private MU. Which is within your character, but IA isn't owned by the commander, it's owned by the members. I came back to see IA members, still wearing their uniform, spread across multiple MUs. That lost of cohesion is a failure by the commander in my view.
Based on the abstracts of information available; after being made commander, you proceeded to try use the Army's military power to influence the CP's mandated objectives (as if you owned that power...?), and ultimately lead to the splintering of the Army's membership. Yes, granted, you managed to hold onto the big hitters from the breakdown of the Army's military structure under your leadership. But I would call that a pyrrhic victory at best, and I certainly wouldn't boast about it. You are a good private MU commander, big personality and all that but clearly, you failed as an IA commander.
Under such circumstances, Trito has done a great job to re-group and bring some cohesion back to the Army. I don't doubt, if not for his intervention, the Army's banner and ethos would have gone quietly into the night. A worthy contribution, and testament to the Army's long history of highs and lows. o7
I also have great confidence in Shelby to further the work and restore the Army's military structure and give confidence to the scattered IA members that a place for them has been restored. Shelby is a tried and tested IA commander, and a good successor.
Job well done.
