[GT] ACroc and his little idea

Day 2,286, 18:50 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Ayame Crocodile

Hey everyone, It's that time of month again where our media gets flooded with people vying for your attention as they run for congress, and yes I too am running.

But I want to try something a little different this month and propose a program I will be running should I get elected, so hopefully this article is a little more interesting than just being about myself.

Here comes an answer to the question nobody is asking

Well sadly this is a bit of a must but I'm not going to talk about myself much, I'd much rather get onto the idea I'm proposing so I'll run through this pretty quickly, feel free to skip though.

To those I haven't met Hi /me waves frantically.

I'm Ayame Crocodile, I've been around for years but have had a few connection issues over the last few months and so haven't been as active as I would like.

I've worked in various government positions before such as being a staff member and Director of the NHS, Deputy Minister of Defence, Minister of Home Affairs, Vice President and President of the eUK. I've also been Spokesman (Party President) of the PCP a total of 6 times.

So I'd like to think I have a fairly good understanding of the game and what's needed on a day to day basis when it comes to the Government.

Damn straight! (ps. Miss you Rafa )

This is my view point of the entire game summed up in one succinct phrase. And this month I want to put that guiding ideology into practice if you'd be so kind as to help me be elected as an MP of this fine nation of ours.

I'll try my best to be quick and to the point, if you have any questions though please ask in the comments.

Congress has, and quite fairly imo, been called a rubber stamp. Each month comes and goes and despite some valiant attempts by some notable members of our community not much seems to have changed that, now I'm not saying that what I'm bringing to the table is anything revolutionary, in fact it's quite simple, but I believe it can help us create a more interesting congress or at least create more interest generally.

What I will be doing is running a weekly program, this will start in the form of an article each week that will round up events within congress (so long as they aren't ongoing matters of national security), including my voting record and reasoning.

This article will feature a general and sometimes slightly abstract topic for people to consider, for example "What measures can we take to improve and foster further activity".

Two days after the article has been published I will host a session on IRC where anyone who is interested can come to raise any concerns or viewpoints they have regarding what is happening within congress and the eUK in general, ask me questions about my viewpoints and voting record and most importantly to discuss the topic I have raised, although following the first topic I'd like to have others suggest each one that follows, as well as being open to other people hosting the session and being in charge of keeping it on track if anyone so desires.

This is an attempt at a People's Forum, a Member of Parliaments Question Time if you will, where hopefully we can work together to brainstorm and create some sort of national dialogue about improving our community, making it more transparent and responsive.

I will then bare in mind everything raised at this People's Forum session when debating in Congress and if appropriate and valid points are raised regarding congress I will bring them up within the Congress discussions.

And so that leads me to the rather sad but real purpose of this and all other running for congress articles...

I mean that is the general purpose of these articles really isn't it?

So thank you for reading and I hope that by including an actual Idea this article has been a bit more interesting than it could've been.
