[GOV] Weekly Press Conference - 1

Day 4,555, 08:54 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Het Catshuis

Good afternoon, citizens of the Netherlands, and members of the press community,

Yes, this is the Country President's official newspaper, and no I am obviously not the Country President.
What you are reading now is a new concept in its pilot: the weekly press conference. As announced in the election article, President Van Der Kaczy has appointed me -next to my position of Minister of Home Affairs- as the Spokesperson of the Government. It will be my main task to inform you, the public, of the governments plans and progress to the best of my abilities. This is one of the methods I wish to employ to do so.

The weekly press conference will contain updates from every ministry, however small they seem. You, the critical citizens and journalists of the Netherlands will be able to ask questions of any kind in the comments, to which the members of the government will try to provide an answer. Questions may be related to what is mentioned in the article or related to any other government policy related topic. Through this medium, the current administration wishes to allow the citizens to participate into the decision-making process and increase their influence. So ladies and gentlemen, without further a do: let's get started.

President
Since the start of his term in office, President Van Der Kaczy has been keeping himself busy with managing several Training Wars in Romania, Egypt and Colombia. Furthermore, the government is currently on high alert as there is a threat of CODE forces landing in our southern neighbours Belgium. The President is currently coordinating with Belgium and Training Partner Latvia on how to annihilate the threat. For other matter with regard to foreign affairs, I wish to refer to the Hydra article.

Defense
With regard to Defense, I wish to share with you a statement from Minister Shawtyl0w:

"This month I returned to my old post at the Ministry of Defense. I've had a busy weekend in real life so in the past three days I've tried to set up internal communication within the ministry.

I do not serve alone! My friends flo rida20 and europecrisseswar have joined me as deputies for this term. We've set up a telegram channel together with the country president so we can discuss daily battles.

In the next few days a new NL figther chat will be opened as well as a new TW coordination telegram group between NL, and our TW partners in the Egypt regions.

Important battle orders are being communicated through the national feed. So that all of eNL is aware of our Prio's.

Hail the Netherlands o7"

Finance
The Minister of Finance, NoTie112, was so kind as to send me a statement as well:

"After the long and stable tenure of previous MoF Janty F, it it worth it to review whether the processes and programs of the Ministry are still serving both the people and efficient government. Luckily, that is mostly the case! For now, the matter in which payments get done to foreign partners will be simplified in the form of direct payments from the MoF organization. As for the Programs, matters like the Houses and Production Programs occassionally see very few applicants. It may be worth it to make the process easier and similar to the ones of MoD, to ensure the Programs do what they intend to fulfill. Lastly, the Government is looking into the so-called ''Finance Sheets'', which should both thrive in brevity and completeness - ensuring quick understanding of the financial situation and smooth succession between different MoFs."

That will be all for today. Again if you have any questions for what is mentioned here or about another policy related topic, please let us know in the comments. You can also share your thoughts and ideas for new policy or perhaps a new government program.
However, please keep it civilised, constructive criticism is more than welcome, insults and mockery are not.

Together we can keep increasing social and political activity in this wonderful country!

Signed,
