Date: Day 3755 of the New World


Time sure does fly when you’re keeping busy.


Over tha past few days I’ve been reaching out to people who I think belong in Federal Government positions. As I indicated in my last Campaign article, I’m looking to forge an Administration and Staff that is upbeat and positive. I have paid no heed to party affiliation in building a staff. None whatsoever.


Instead, I started conversations with people who met three criteria:

Concern for the Community
Availability, especially on Discord
Friendliness and Diplomacy


Obviously I also wanted to surround myself with people who had particular other good gifts and who are going to be capable of building a Government that is proactively supporting a growing community. People who are cynical about the game dying were excluded. When we build a government expecting the game to die, we will accelerate that death. When we build a government expecting the game to grow, we at least stand a chance.


So it is with high hopes that I share with you the White House Administration and Staff for March 2018 if you’ll elect me.




Serving as your Vice President, a real living citizen:

LifesaverM





The Vice Presidency is, as I explained to LifesaverM, carte blanche to develop some community-building initiative with the full weight of the Federal Government behind him. After a 30 minute chitchat, I knew I’d found a fantastic choice. This was not a political appointment, you should be just as excited to have LifesaverM as VP as you obviously already are to have me as CP.

Blande




The great Blandino has some experience as CoS - the last time he did it was August of 2015. “August of 2015”... those three words should bring shivers to the spine of anyone who was around. Yes, folks, Blande managed the Staff for one of the worst Executives we’ve ever had in eUSA - BeachBunny. But Blande conducted himself quite well that month, and he has more than earned a shot at Chiefing a great Staff. He will.




Serving as our Minister of Foreign Affairs, a citizen who is not Wild Owl:

Yes, I know that Carlos claims to have some other higher number after his name than 3000 but I like to round down. Maybe I’ll start calling him Carlos>3000, I don’t know. But among the players to emerge in the recent activity resurgence around here, Carlos3K exemplifies all of the qualities we need in a chief diplomat. I’ve made sure he’s got plenty of solid help learning the ropes. Get excited, eUSA, we finally have a new Secretary of State!!!

That said, I want to spend a few words honoring the great Wild Owl who has steered us with incredible acumen for a long time. I know WO isn’t going to be hard to find, and he’s going to be a very valued deputy under Carlos



Serving as our Secretary of Defense (wait, did he say defense?), yes, I am bringing back the Department of Defense, and I am bursting my buttons to announce that heading it will be none other than:

MaryamQ




MQ, as I like to call her, is to eRepublik what Barak Obama was to the United States of America. If you like Barak Obama that is. If you’re a Republican then she’s more of a George Bush senior. Loveable, capable, and able to navigate complex issues with aplomb. She is going to be awesome. Now for those of you who think we don’t need a Department of Defense, I simply ask you to stay tuned. We are massively rewiring the Defense Department in such a way that it will become a vital operation of the Federal Government. You’ll see. And you’ll thank me for snatching MQ to lead the charge.



Serving as our Secretary of Media, a man who likely needs no introduction but deserves one anyway:

just another George



George will be heading a staff of writers who’s jobs it will be to provide awesome content while George serves as lead editor. I’ve got a long history of wanting to see George succeed and an even longer history of failing to make it happen. This month will be different. Under my friend George, eUSA is going to enjoy solid Government Media all month long. I know it.



Serving as our Secretary of the Interior (yes, I’m bifurcating DoCA), is everyone’s favorite Santa:

Since we will be examining all of our Interior programs this month and looking to find new ways to do what we already do better, it’s beneficial to have the expert on board. I haven’t had the time yet to really sit down with HV and fully understand everything he does, but what time I have spent with him convinced me that he cares about providing useful goods to the eUSA Community, so he belongs right where he already is, leading the Interior.



Serving as our first Secretary of Education in a LOONG time:

Professor Ilene Dover



Dr.D has a history serving fellow eRepublikans, particularly with respect to Education. And the good Doctor will certainly have a good bit of work to do. She will not simply be tasked with rehashing tired tutorials. The greatest concerns of our Education Department will be identifying the mistakes even experienced players are making, and working to improve everyone’s eUSA. We’ve got some super-creative ideas for making this work, and I know that Ilene Dover will soon become the greatest Education Czar since Blank Keating.




So that’s the team of leaders. But because I believe that expanding the Federal Government is part and parcel to enlivening this game we play, we’ve also greatly lowered the threshold by creating meaningful jobs and giving them to active players. If you’ve spent any time ingame lately, you should recognize each of our Deputies as players who fit the principles I laid out at the top of this article. They have concern for the community, are easily available, and are friendly and diplomatic in their dealings with others.
