[FoW] Eire 2020. - Introduction
Don Croata.
Hi Éire!
The 2019. is slowly leaving us and I can’t say it was a very successful year in terms of eIreland or Erepublik in general. Wrong decisions made by admins are still active, we still have an awfully big difference between the big and small countries, communities are being shut down and its only a few enthusiasts who are keeping the status quo, it’s not a sustainable playing environment and I believe that won’t change in the near future.
In a this kind of situation, where the pessimism is a general motion eIreland has been put under the hard challenges and once again we’re to respond in a way only the Irish spirit can. We’re going to welcome the 2020. with our brand new national strategy that’s based on countless hours of tests and game mechanics possibilities. I’m proudly presenting you the first part of Eire 2020.!
Military strategy
Most of this has already been proposed to the Congress. In order to understand the reasons behind this decision it’s highly important to know how the military module actually works. For example, there’s a huge importance of having the Maverick packs because that way, with a decent low division hitter you can make a huge difference on the battle outcome. You’re able to effect all the lower divisions and bring the extra point to your country. Another highly important thing is the difference legend ranks are doing. Each legend rank brings another 10% of damage increase if its done in a country you get your legend in. Having a Legend XX account (BiednyMis) means you’re dealing a 20x10% damage and that’s a HUGE difference in the battle. Packs & ranks are what matters the most at this moment in this type of the game. It’s also what’s killing the game, but that’s a story for some other time and occasion.
We’ve decided to encourage those who can buy packs to keep buying them and in order to do that we have to secure a good support when it comes to finances. Most of the packs are being bought by the game currency. For that reason we’re founding the Elite section of Irish fighters, which is going to be called Belfast Brigade and will sit in the Regiment 1 of the Irish Army. The conditions to get in will be either having packs or having a strong account. Supplies will also be ‘elite’ as they’re gonna be somewhere between 1000 and 2000 Q7 weps a month, depending on the other stuff. The expectations will be to get Ireland wins when the time comes. You could see in our last campaign how important having the packs is, if you’d simply check the Top 20 on Irish side you’ll know who’s the Belfast Brigade candidates. This Regiment will be ran by Rusty D.
The second Regiment of the Irish Army will be given to our Air forces and it’s going to be called Air Corps. This regiment will be ran by Vincent van Goat as he’s one of our strongest and most capable air fighter. Air Corps will be rewarded based on their kills number during the coordinated strikes, something which is going to happen on a daily basis. We’re gonna be there for our allies and they’ll know it. Air Corps will also be eligible for the already ongoing Air Project, however, Air Project will see a big budget reduction and the reward per kill during the week are going to be lowered on 5cc. This way we want to encourage our air fighters to engage more, become part of the group and do more during the coordinated strikes. Air Corps will be our main diplomatic tool as well.
Third regiment will be made of the regular fighters who don’t want to have too many obligations and 2-clickers. Their daily reward will be 200cc/done DO which means they won’t be asked for much in return.
We’re going to support this whole thing by getting more involved in global wars and getting Ireland back its old reputation of being a fighting nation. While we were focused entirely on air we ignored this segment of the game as air fighters are better used as indirect help, while ground forces are decisive part of the direct involvement in the conflicts.

Our economy will also see a major changes in the next couple of weeks. We’re going to transform into a completely different country than we were so far. Firstly, USA is going to take our two production regions and as soon as the battles end the war will be closed which will enable our production to use the American bonuses in the most productive regions of eWorld. This isn’t just a word, we’re literally going to have the most productive two regions of the world. Our pollution is pretty low and our two regions are enriched with regional bonuses. In about a week our producers will produce with over 200% bonus on the production.
In order to get the most out of it we’re going to change our taxes. Import tax will be raised on 5% which will give our sellers a better starting position. My estimation is that there are plenty of people who are willing to make money by selling on Irish market after buying the cheapest ones.
Our work tax is another story and a reason why there’s a (red) in the title above. In the coming days we’re going to introduce some real communism. Our work tax is going to be raised on 25% which seems quite a lot as we’re going to have one of the biggest work tax in the world. However, when you take the bonuses into consideration and add tax refunds we’re going to organize our producers will surely appreciate all the changes, after all I’m also the owner of 11 Q7 weapon companies and I believe this is going to be a great change. Tax refunds are going to be introduced to our citizens in a more discrete way. However, if there are any foreign producers that owns production holdings in eIreland it would be great if they’d send me a message. I'd like to point out that there are not many things I can 'defend' this policy in public as I don't want our ideas to be stolen by any country.
Some other economic changes and projects are going to be introduced soon, this is only the top of the mountain. We’re creating a huge amount of new things which has been tested numerous times on numerous markets. I’m proud to announce that this is a result of 6-months work that’s going to end up gloriously. That’d be it for now, the next proposal to the congress will be somewhat shocking, same as the previous ones. Lastly, I’d like to thank congress, our fighters, our citizens for their support and understanding. Many great things are waiting for us and I’m proud to share the homeland with you guys!
Yours,
Warbhoy

5% Import tax - Why wouldn't foreign producers just put stuff on their own less onerous market and have people buy it there.
You risk ending up with a totally Irish produced market with higher prices (unless that's the goal i.e State Market capping) and less consumers as the cost of flitting across to a cheaper market and buying there is negligible.
One of the things we had before was #BuyIrish which is going to be returned, it used our state funds to buy cheapest in world and sell for a bit more on the Irish market which was still much cheaper than the prices are today (compared then & now global markets).
We'll have someone who's going to bring cheapest products on our market and keep the prices as low as possible while the state will still make the money out of it.
Interesting strategy
Very nice that you're creating two of the best region bonusses to produce together with 25% worktax I'll follow your progress to see how the citizens experience it.
the worktax will cut into any benefit you get from the lack of pollution tho'
And the tax refund will bring that back to the full benefit situation..

Solid plan!

I apologize for my ignorance, but what's the point of increasing work tax if you're gonna refund it? (zero-sum game?)
Discouraging foreigners from investing in Ireland and thus maintaining low pollution? Isn't work tax paid to employer's citizenship country?
from eRep forum:
Q: Which country will get my work-tax?
A: Work tax for employees will remain the same for now, and will go to the citizenship country of the employer.
That's the part I can't comment in the public, I'm deeply sorry for that.
Foreigners won't invest, they never did and they never will no matter what we do. However, there are some other things around than just the normal producers who will get their taxes back. There are some game mechanics flaws we're going to use to 'invade' others with our economy. I promise all of these things are great, I just can't go out with them. We'd be copied by several countries tomorrow.
I'm intrigued and rooting for you
If you don't mind me asking, what keeps other countries from taking advantage of these game mechanics flaws? They aren't aware of them?
Let's say you start implementing this economic revolution and Irish producers relocate their factories. Is there a possibility, that after a short period of time, Plato finds those flaws, fixes them and all your effort goes in vain? Or the flaws are purposely there but just not used by anybody atm?
Some smaller countries did that, its a rule that fits small communities only. I guess there were not many who considered it, it is a bit out of the box and it requires huge trust by the whole community, lots of work too.
Those ‘flaws’ are called that way just because they are not the main thing in rules, they are its consequences we are going to take advantage of...I hope that answers your (great) questions
Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me
I'm sorry if my questions sounded condescending and rude. I didn't mean to; on the contrary, I was/am genuinely curious
Wish you the best of luck 🙂
Nah, I was wondering why no one asks those questions actually. It's a legit thing to ask.
meh
good luck but never ever spent RL money for packs!
Always in the fight!
