*Fireside Chat* Congress does a WTF and the Next Step for me.

Good Morning America,
It is good to do this once more and I have an important announcement after my talk about what has been going to with your Congress. Sorry for being a little late, family comes before fun.
For my votes, this week has been all about MPP updates. Our Allies requested us to renew our vows to stand behind them in good and bad, war and peace. The nations that had decided to place their request this week was Ireland, Indonesia, South Korea, Macedonia, Switzerland, Mexico, Paraguay, and Japan. Each one has been with us and we have fought to help them. I was glad to give them the support they wanted and the full force of the arsenal of Democracy by their side. That is all for votes in the game, but there's two more things I need to talk about.
For those of you that have not been on the forums, we have gotten to work on the work tax rate, but it is not what you and I wanted at all. Tens pushed way too quickly to raise the work tax to, 25% for two weeks and then drop them to 15%. I have disapproved this idea and voted against it. First the bill was not up for 24 hours, the idea of raising the work tax board was, but the proposed bill was not. This is a disgrace, to me this was done to make sure it could pass as quickly as possible without letting the eyes of the public see what is about to happen to them. In other words, ram this down their throat before they know what hit them. Next, let’s also remember the painful effects on our nation’s economy because of that 25% tax rate. We did not take the pain of that work tax rate well and we lost citizens because of that rate. The economy has not fully recovered and now they ask you to take that same pain again. Last but not least, they excuse it by saying the money will be going to combat payouts. I’m sorry but it doesn't fix the big problem of the high cost to make weapons, food and RMs that the government is going to do that makes it hard for those that try to be self-sufficient and the wrecking ball they will deliver to the nation’s economy. It is not worth it at all. Let’s just say my CAB went ballistic when I informed them about this. We need your help to make sure that this bill will receive a knife in the back to keep you from taking a knife to the back from this bill. I will never support a rate increase unless it is needed and is under 15%, 20% only for a monetary emergency. I and many others do not agree with this and will do our best to not let this pass. Also I want to let everyone know that we have passed a budget and at this time, the cost to run the government is.
I. Executive Line U1. MPP Costs: $45,000
II Defense Armed Forces: $ 162,000
Which is a total of $207,000 needed for the month. This does not include things like combat payouts and unforeseen costs.
Now for some special news, I have accepted Delyriun’s request to be his head of USWP media. This is an honor and I'm still amazed for someone that has not been here for a year to not only be a member of congress but also become the head of my party’s media. I will continue to do Fireside Chat every week for the next month even if I don’t go into congress. I will make sure each congress member of the USWP will tell you how they vote and why. I will do my best to do make sure the party is transparent in congress and if the CP is a member of the party I will request that he/she will do weekly articles as well so you are informed on what the Worker party is doing for the nation. I will also open up my paper to USWP members that want to talk about something. I have high hopes and dreams but it will be a lot of work to do. I will do what I can and make sure we remember what our main job is. You voted for us to do the job of running this great country and make sure we do what is right to make our nation better. I hope to make everyone, veterans and rookies proud.

Great plan to lose their tax base. Good work bringing this tax proposal to people's attention Dauntless, o7
If you look at the rates of citizens dropping, the people who quit after the 25% work tax barely touched the rate we were losing people at from being wiped.
The private donors have funded anywhere from 30%-50% of our war efforts so far. They're tapped. The reserves are being decimated. The money has to come from somewhere.
We can choose to take a quick blow on the Work Tax, or continue to slowly die due to low regions/bonuses with almost no chance of boosting back up.
People will return in force when we're back to our core regions and the Work Tax goes back down. If returning to our core regions takes too long, we will take a far larger permanent hit in the long-term.
If Americans are unwilling to, as a country, fund the liberation of America, then we may as well stop fighting Poland now and save ourselves the heartache.
Oh, and I mixed up decimated (reduce by 10😵 and devastated. Damn you English language!
You can tell a man the plastic bag over his head that it will be removed if he just holds on for a few days. Dead is dead.
When you make 1.08 USD a day and have to pay 4 USD per factory worked, you will stop working those factories, or leave the game entirely. In July, C4 had 23 Div 1 fighters. We have five as of this morning. Two of those were recruited after the tax was reduced. Raising the tax to 25% means makes Div 1 players entirely dependent on their MU to support their day-to-day existence. Not a gaming experience I would think would prove too popular with a new player.
So, you choose a slow death over short-term pain and long-term gain.
Dead is indeed dead, but I'd rather go down fighting than slipping silently into the night. I have an Op-Ed in today's WHPR if you're interested in reading a full accounting of how I feel about our current situation.

Kemal's point is the INCOME tax was getting lost, NOT the WAM taxes.
I don’t usually comment on Fireside chats because I want you guys to talk and discuss things and know that I don’t sway discussions, but this time for you Talos I will make an exception and step up to the mic. I want to ask you something, have you ever heard of one of Napoleon's famous quotes, “An Army marches on its Stomach.” What he means is that the military that wants to win needs to keep their forces in good shape with supplies or they will not be able to perform on the battlefield. For examples see the Confederacy in the American Civil War and Germany in both World Wars, they failed because of the inability to keep their forces equipped in the field with what the troops needed. This is why you can’t kill the economy for this tax rate, people will just abandon their farms, mines, bakeries, and factories making it hard to get supplies for the forces. If you use the Combat payout defense I will say this, with a loss of supply and a huge spike in demand, can people afford the market prices of the weapons and food they need to fight. This will sap the power of the arsenal of democracy and mean Poland will have an easier time steamrolling us. It sounds like someone needs to have their cards taken away if this is the case of the nation’s money problems. I have been on the forums and I know of only a few of the costs.
So, where does the money come from? Because we can't supply our way out of this situation.
