[EXTRA] Post-Campaign Memorandum

Day 2,178, 12:24 Published in Japan Japan by ahava3233

Hi Japan, it's ahava3233 reporting to you once again, I just wanted to conclude my campaign with a memo for all of you to read.

The real intention of my campaign wasn't really necessarily winning, persay. Rather, my intention was to open the eyes of the people and to get things in this country's community moving towards progress. I felt that many of you have been overly complacent with our country's internal situation. Activity on the forums and IRC has been down somewhat for some time and in particular last term, only political veterans really had control of the country's affairs. I also said this before, but SSG is wary of Darshu and Geezus and wanted to open your eyes a little to their politics. With the PTO on the other end in particular, we want a strong community with active and knowledgeable people to act in opposition to their growing numbers, not just a complacent one that sits around and does nothing while allowing a bunch of veterans to control the country.

Many of you might say my politics were out of line and were overtly forceful and you might have been right. However, my intention was to make a difference here and change this community for the better, not just so it will continue to function just next month, but for months to come. Nevertheless, I just wanted to make this clear--a private message thread exists with 30 active members of the Shinsengumi. Our politics are going to fall under their scrutiny and they will be allowed to decide for themselves whether they want me to continue to lead the party or not and continue in the direction we're headed. It is their choice, not mine; if I am sidelined on the 15th then so be it. Feel free to ask any active SSG members, they will tell you this thread exists. Also Shinsengumi, please be critical of me and voice your opinion. Your criticism will be taken into account.

Regardless, I'd like to say that Tarasino asked me to be his vMoF, but I declined as I figured a newbie would be better suited for the position as it isn't policy-level, thus I wouldn't be able to provide any advice to the cabinet from the position really, and we need more people with experience to help run this country anyway. Furthermore, I'll be taking a step back for a while and advising my party or anyone else that needs help for the next month or so or possibly longer. I need to focus on my real life anyway and was only planning to put that off somewhat if I won the presidency. Now I have a good chance to deal with that though. Of course though, I'll still be around, just not as active in executive and legislative matters myself. Love it or hate it, I will continue to act as your Dark Knight for the forseeable future 😛.

Lastly, to Kantaaa, from our conversations on IRC, you really do seem like an intelligent guy. As I said before, I hope you act accordingly and become a great, not puppet CP. I would be happy to apologize and say, "I was wrong" in the public eye at the end of your term if you indeed have a great term. Remember to listen to the entire domestic community and draw conclusions from all of them, and most importantly, communicate with them. Do not be afraid to ask questions or to give or receive criticism, silence is not your job as a CP.

Oh and of course to those who voted for me, thank you for your support.

PS: If you are in congress, please vote on the matter of immigration law on forum here. Only four of you have voted so far, and there's 20 of you with the right to vote. I want to see all 20 of you cast a ballot, not just 4 people!
