Why I Hate Chain Shouts – by Evil Chutley


Nice Chutley has been hogging the spotlight recently. I can’t have that. Here, Nice Chutley, look at this for awhile:






Now that he’s gone I’m back to tell you why I hate chain shouts.





1. Because I don’t hate you and I think you're moderately interesting people.

Believe it or not, if I can see your shouts, it means I don’t hate you. I can’t say that I like you, but we’re eRep friends, right? So, I am sort of interested in what you have to say, especially if you deride Nice Chutley. Chain shouts prevent me seeing what you have to say for two reasons:

* Your chain shout adds to a deluge of other chain shouts and it becomes easy to miss the rare ones of substance.

* Even if you have something interesting to say you’re wasting one of your precious only-one-every-ten-minutes shouts on telling me something 50 other people just told me. I'm a caveman, throw me a frickin' bone here people.



2. Because I know where to fight.

I have that little add-on thingy (that you should all have) that gives me the top orders and the Pony Express link of the day. Also, I can check the DoD Orders (when I’m not lazy [which I almost always am, but, theoretically, I could]).



3. Because Plato can’t really see our shouts anyway.

Or can he. Who cares? He doesn’t listen to us anyway, so why bother?

Us: Unban [insert important person here]!
Plato: F*ck you. I’ll ban who I want, when I want.



4. Because if I’m banned, I can’t see your shout either.

Well, I suppose if I had a multi I could, but I don’t. And if I did, I deserve to be banned, so we have a bit of a Catch-22, don’t we?

Us: Unban Chutley!
Chutley: [silence]

OR

Us: Unban Chutley!
Chutley7: Yeah! Unban original Chutley! He did nothing wrong!



5. Because I’m not going to participate in any of those giveaway contests.

I just won’t, so keep it to yourself, damnit.
