[ESO]So I'm running for PP now

Day 1,728, 16:01 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Betafoxtrot
Hello, I’m Betafoxtrot and I am running for PP of Every Single One!

An Introduction

It's fair to say that ESO is by any means, but it is one that I have very much enjoyed. I started out in the RFA where I was for many months while serving in the navy, eventually, I started to get into the political side and became the RFA VPP. I left not long after to hover for a bit and to concentrate on the military. I then joined UKRP to attempt a boosting of my political experience, I didn’t feel this was the right party for me and went back to RFA, it turned to Spectrum and I left.

I think with the lack of people wanting to run for PP the last few months is unsettling and I believe I have what it takes to take ESO through this month. Also it's my birthday this month but that's neither here nor there.

I'll only list a few key positions I've had.

- 8 time Minister of Home Affairs
- 1 time MoD
- Over a year in command in the UK Military in all it's variations.

Policies

Forum

It is very dead in there at the moment as you may be aware, so we cannot just concentrate on getting people to join and come on to our forums but also to give them a reason to post. Not just the elections but debates, ideas on policies and some random topics just for fun. These are the keys to keeping party forums buzzing, as we can see so far, we do not have this buzz.

In Game

I have a few ideas for this. I want to have a push in advertising for ESO, not just in-game articles, but also through outreach programs like the free food we give out to new players, though I'll be doing regular newspaper articles too. For current members, as I said, forum activity is on the low side and we need more members/congressman active on IRC if they want to stand a chance at getting elected. I'd also like to look at building bridges with some of the smaller parties outside the top 5 (not to say I don't support having good relations with top 5 parties!), though it may sound counter intuative, I think it's no bad things to have these relations there.

Wiki

Some would say this is insignificant to anything but a couple of people working on the ESO wiki, as it is possible to gain a few members from people browsing the wiki. An additional thing we could possibly do is to add guides for new players.

Within the party

An idea I have thought about, which I have wanted implemented in the RFA when I ran for PP and was mentioned in UKRP as well, which with some help could spread to other parties, is a reward system just like medals in the military which show to others that this person works hard, and gets the job done with a mention in ESO articles and perhaps a little bit of cash to show appreciation.
Another thing is articles. As well as appointing someone to help make these, I will encourage ESO members to write articles for ESO to publish in the paper. They can message me with the content and we can publish it, the person will get full credit and if they have one, a link to their own newspaper as an incentive for them to get more subs. Also, any body who publishes anything good about ESO will get a mention in our paper.
I will not be having the usual positions up for grabs, I'll simply ask anyone who wants to help to volunteer to do what ever they want to help with be it writing articles, helping with congress or playing games.

Congress

I’m happy for anyone to have a go at congress, as I have said, but I'd like to have a preference for who we run where people active on IRC or forums are put before people who do not. This will be done early so we can get an idea of who is running where. Another stipulation I'd like to have is that candidates will have to have a manifesto written out on the forums before the congress elections, anyone selected to run that fails this will not be endorsed at all.

Thanks for reading!
