[ESO] Single Unified Congress Manifesto

ESOs glossy single unified manifesto, written and created by its members. Proofreaded twice.


Common Policy: - Majority support.

National Military;
We support the use of a military for the Government, it adds a factor to our community at large that does ultimate good; it provides us with damage, a Government/National image on a international scale, both promoted and encouraged by the Government, the National Military members and its supporters.

We do support inclusion of private militaries too, we support the use of sustainable Military Unit Supply Systems [MUSS]. Private Military Units [MUs] can supply their members with weapons to use, which both boosts our damage and helps the country maintain regions during times of war.

Our stance: Pro-National Military with Private Militaries in place.

Income Tax;
We support a low income tax, for we support new players in their development, they use the wages they earn to put money towards infrastructure, food and weapons.

Our stance: Pro-low income tax.

Retention;
The support we have for performing retention tasks is undying, we believe retaining those who wish to assist the eUK and its ability to advance is ultimately better for our community. Enabling those who wish to assist should also be given the means to be included within every aspect possible.

Our Stance: Pro-retention.

Recruitment;

The specific stance of ESO on recruiting, is a long one, so lets go over it;

Recruiting to the eUK [game]; If a member of our society recruits new players to the game in order to assist in retaining and helping them find their place and succeed within our community; then it should be encouraged. However, malicious intentions are something we do not support, be it for revenge or to take over. Threaten our community with attempts to hinder our progress [but not progress for sake of progress], we shall retaliate to avoid/stop those who dare try and hinder.

Recruiting to the eUK [from elsewhere on eRepublik]; We full heartedly support players already in the game moving to the eUK, however, this is where it gets onto both citizenship and recruitment. The ultimate goal is to protect the eUK above all else, and to do this we need to ensure that those who wish to harm the eUK are kept outside our citizenry. [More information in the Citizenry and Citizenship Regulations policy]

Inter-Party Recruiting; Recruiting from another party is heavily looked down upon, and if it happens, to either ESO, another party or if ESO did it themselves. Our powers to change what has been done is zero, however, alerting those whom it concerns to avoid/discourage it is possible, and shall be done.

Recruiting non-party players; Recruiting people into the political spectrum is good, as it involves them into the largest section of the eUK community and possibly the eWorlds largest section. If by any means the player is being harassed or forced to join a party due to threats or anything relating to unfairness, then it should be stopped, as stated above, if any actions like this are performed, actions shall be done to avoid/discourage, limits to avoiding/discouraging is correlated to the extremity of the deed committed.

Our stance: Pro-Recruitment, yet Anti-Harassment/Unfairness.

Society: The size and openness of a government should represent what is required to protect national security at times of war and at times of peace. But the eUK society extends way beyond the in-game government. ESO is especially fond of fostering/enabling new players/new figures to participate alongside old hands. Schemes should be set in place for fostering players in ministries, party positions, military units and so on, so we can train and educate our future and enable for things to be passed on much more efficiently. Of course, if a way to participate causes issues then it should be stopped or corrected, but our tolerance for free speech extends to government if the position has not been undermined by the action.

Our stance: Pro-productive participation.

Citizenship: So far ESO has accepted the idea of changing the citizenship regulations to a guide with optional rules to be pledged to, however a specific stance has not been devised.
