Dear Labels and Gentleshoes,

It is with a heavy heart and a snuffling nose that I announce that I, Ando Calrissian, will be running for ESO Party President in today's elections.



Now, before you all pick up the phone to schedule that appointment with Dignitas, please hear me out: I may not be the worst PP in history.

Disclaimer: this article does not constitute a binding legal document and the author is immune to prosecution should he in fact turn out to be the worst PP in history.

I don't care enough to write a full manifesto, of course, but I'm sure you can get an idea of what I'm about by reading every other manifesto currently in the media. ESO obviously has a real issue with both recruitment and retention though I won't I don't have any fresh ideas yet as to how we can resolve them. Increasing the number of ESO articles in the media and comments on the in-game feed will be my #1 priority though; the fact that we are currently top five without any media activity at all suggests to me that maintaining this position surely won't take too much effort. I hope.

This will involve me nagging people though. Be forewarned.

So, my political experience is limited but I am currently a Captain in the Legion and haven't yet inspired mutiny from my regiment. I was in Congress once and didn't make any obvious cock-ups. I do have an increasingly competent idea of how this game works (which is useful) and due to an increasingly vacant real-life schedule I'm as active as they come. What more do you want?

Seriously, vote for whichever candidate you think will do the best job. I can only be honest with what I can bring to the table; my selling-point is almost 100% just the fact that I am around and I know that I will give my all (plus other clichés). Or if not my all, then my "some". Which is still not to be smirked at.

I'm also extremely self-deprecating and modest.
