[ESO] Another Month... Another Leap

This Month – A Summary

This month has been a great one in terms of achievement for our members and it's a month which I can be proud of. It's a month where we've seen nine of our members be elected to Congress. It's a month where we've ran a continuous wellness donation scheme as well as a food supply drop for party members. It's a month where we have three of our finest members assigned with the title of Minister including mittekemuis as joint Minister of Foreign Affairs, stockyrocky310597 as joint Minister of Home Affairs and Emergy Maxfell returning as Minister of Finance. This month has been a great one. Congratulations to one and all for their achievements.

A Second Opportunity

As you have, I suspect, already guessed, I am running for a second term as party president. The vast amount of support I've received has convinced me that I can do even more this month than I have in the last. I'm asking for your support and for an opportunity to prove to you why putting your faith in me will produce results.

Internal Politics – A Fresh Opportunity

One of the major issues with internal politics is that much of the responsibilities rest on the elected president. What I would like to re-introduce associated political roles within the party. This month, if I am elected, I will be introducing three specific roles. One role will be Donations Officer. As Donations Officer, this person would be responsible for handling large sums of cash and supplies, working with the Minister of Finance to negotiate currency trades and negotiating currency to supply exchanges. The second role I will be introducing will be Party Liaison, a role which will involve this person working with other parties to create national schemes and promote national politics, rather than party politics. The third role will be Recruitment Officer, a role which is, in itself, self-explanatory. This person will be responsible for daily new player messaging and helping them get started in their eLife.

National Politics – Changing Dynamics

There's no doubt that this month has seen a paradigm shift. The focus has shifted from experience to instruction. We want to help people get into national politics and the best means of doing so is having schemes and opportunities. What I will be doing is working with ministers and workers in each of the ministries in order to write guides about how to get involved in these ministries and what the roles involve. These guides, combined with the schemes being introduced by the Country President, will ensure the next generation of ministers and presidents.

Constitutional Reform – The Voice of Reason

It's a subject that those on the forum will know I'm quite passionate about. I believe our constitution is out-dated and it needs updating. I have begun this process as we discussed electoral reform surrounding the party presidency. This month, we'll be drafting a whole new constitution and I want a flourish of voices getting involved in this discussion. I am bound by the constitution and, by changing it, you have the opportunity to place your expectations on me.

Donations – A Blessing in Disguise

There's no doubt that the success of donations has been part of what has driven this party so far. By offering vast amounts of wellness to our party members, by offering free wellness to any citizen who requests it, we show ourselves to be a true noble character in the face of national politics – we are charitable and we are kind. We are a party that has always been focused on the wellness of citizens, rather than the wellness of the party. The sacrifices we make will ensure the greatness of the eUK. This month will be no different.
