[EPIC] CP Primary Results - August 5th

The Country President elections of August 5th draw nearer, and as all the other parties decide who to nominate, so too does EPIC. EPIC decides who to nominate by holding a Primary Vote amongst all of our members, as it is our belief that all members should have a say in the party.

To ensure every member has a say in our nomination, we send individualized messages to each member, inviting them to take part in the Primary Vote. The messages direct them to a GoogleDoc Form, and includes a unique code which is needed to submit a vote. The unique code is to ensure the integrity of the vote, by only allowing valid votes with the unique codes.

Usually, the voting system used for the vote is Instant Run-Off, but as there were only two candidates this month, we were able to use the simpler 'one or the other' system. Our two candidates this month were Treian and Wally Cleaver.

We have received 42 responses from our members, with the results as seen below:

Treian: 25 (59😵
Wally Cleaver: 7 (17😵
Undecided / Abstain: 10 (24😵

Thus, Treian will be receiving the Egalitarian Party of Independent Canadians' nomination for the August 5th Country President election.
