[EN/PT] Balancing issues regarding Stone companies
Assato
Ok, eRepublik Rising (aka V2) is here, and companies have changed a lot. Wiki is already updated and we have the new productivity formula and production explanation. Let’s have a look on how products are created.
1) Raw material companies
The simplest type of company is an RM company. For these companies, each PP (productivity point) makes one unit of RM (raw material). These companies also have no quality and no CPs (customization points).
2) Other companies
For the remaining companies, we have CPs to distribute among the products characteristics, and the total amount of CP depends on the type and quality of the company in the following manner:
Food companies: 30 CP per Q
Construction and MT: 40 CP per Q
Weapons: 50 CP per Q
(note: Q is the quality of the company).
For these companies, the amount of RM required to produce a given component is equal to the CP allocated to it. For example, if you have a house company and you allocate 20 CP to the "walls" component (irrespective of the company quality), then you would need 20 stones to make a wall.
So, the total amount of raw material necessary for each product as a whole is, then, the total amount of CP you have for the company, which are the values stated above.
Now, to create each component, the amount of PP required is CP*M, where M is a modifier that depends on the company type. The value of M for each company is:
Foo
😛0.3
MT: 2
House: 25
Hospital/DS: 115
Rifles: 2
Artillery: 3
Tanks: 6
Air Unit: 9
So, the amount of PP required to produce each item is:

Usage of Stones
You’ll probably agree that there is a MAJOR imbalance going on here. Let’s have a look – each house requires 40Q stones to be made (which translates to 40Q PP from stone companies), but 1000Q PP. This means for instance, that a Q5 house will require ONLY 200 stones to be created – and 5000 PP from construction workers. Q5 hospitals or DS will also require only 200 stones, but 23000 PP. It is only natural to think that this will lead to an extreme overproduction of stones - to an extent that stone companies are probably doomed to fail.
For an equilibrium to be reached, we’d need 25 construction workers for every stone harvester – or 12.5 house companies for every stone company - certainly not likely to happen; we'd have an overproduction of houses waaaaay before reaching that ratio.
So if you have a Stone company (previously wood companies), either try to get rid of it asap, or hope that admins will change the formula (which might happen, as they say they're still testing things this week).
PS: This article was written after update-3 from the latest insider. They say they've fixed some raw material consumption issue, but that was actually a bug and the RM consumption formula remained unchanged (they changed the formula for the amount of PP required, however).

Comments
AFAIK they changed raw consumption to 1 raw for every PP.
^ Tested in weapon/food companies tho, not sure about housing department.
That would be awesome (in a sense - it would require some other changes), but I'm not so sure.
Did it just happen? Earlier today it was still like that. If we go to house companies it still shows 40 stones per house, and the wiki still says 1 RM per CP...
Anyway, I hope they change, so if that's already happened it's good news 😉
Hm... well, I'm not so sure anymore now. I hope you're right.
I'll pay closer attention tomorrow and post conclusions then.
On wiki it just says that the RM consumptions have been adjusted, but in game I've monitored RM levels in my companies and I've lost exactly the same amount as PP generated.
Hope this system remains, because it's the most balanced so far (including v1).
Not to mention the new importance of RM company export licences, which gives RM company owners their own kind of customization.
Then again, if these RM consumption levels remain, that would mean there's a harvester shortage..
well they are changing the formulas, and lets see how we go from there
so far they have done something good by reducing the minimum wage.
but if the prices of food won't come down then people will get died because of hunger, which again leave admin to rethink their formulas. at the moment prices of food are high as compare to minimum wages.
Voltou a escrever, aeee!!
@ FreeeLancer: you were right, formula's changed. 1 PP = 1 RM now.
Makes more sense, but we'll sure as hell have Harvesters shortage now...
@ Niv_Mizzet: pois é, voltei 😉 Vou escrever mais agora...
