As you surely remember, we attacked simultaneously all the regions of the occupied France that we border:
Languedoc-Roussilion
Rhone Alps
Auvergne
Limousin
Poitou charentes

We recognize that Spain has an incredible firepower capability, so we cannot simply attack a region and tank there: we would certainly lose.
Thus, we needed to think a strategy that make Spain spread as much damage as possible, while we gain some ground to reach the core economic region for France: Rhone Alps and Aquitaine.
We also knew that Spain will defend Rhone Alps at the first place, and that at this stage we do not have the capability to take it back.
To reach Aquitaine we needed to take back Limousine OR Poitou. Limousine would have been of course better due that there are a lot of grain companies located there, but Spain will send a lot of men also there. We lured a lot of damage in Limousine (and Rhone Alps of course) during the last day, enough to force Spain to reduce from the other battlefronts.
As you noticed, we opened Poitou just after the daychange: that allowed us to fight twice while a lot of the soldiers were sleeping: a full-prepared Spain is out of our reach. We decided to not open it the day before the daychange due to the fact that Spain would have easily rebuilt the wall during the day (like happened in RA and Limo) wasting the surprise effect in no time.

At the end, we managed to secure Poitou Charentes!

That has been the fist step for the liberation of French soil: maybe a small one, but still a step forward.

Le premier jour de bataille dans la champagne de libération de la France vient juste de finir.

Comme vous vous en souvenez sûrement, nous avons attaqués simultanément toutes les régions occupés de France auxquelles nous avions un accès direct :
Languedoc-Roussilion
Rhônes-Alpes
Auvergne
Limousin
Poitou charentes

Nous sommes conscients de l’incroyable capacité de frappe espagnole, nous ne pouvons donc pas simplement choisir une region et tanker là: nous perdrions certainement.
Ceci pris en compte, nous devions préparer une stratégie qui ferait que l’Espagne diviserait ses dégâts le plus possible pendant que nous gagnerions du terrain pour atteindre les régions vitales économiquement pour l’eFrance : Rhônes-Alpes et Aquitaine.
Nous savions aussi que l’Espagne défendrait durement le Rhônes-Alpes, et que nous n’avions pas actuellement la capacité de reprendre cette région.
Pour atteindre l’Aquitaine, il fallait soit le Limousin, soit le Poitou. Le Limousin aurait bien sûr été mieux, puisque là-bas se situent de nombreuses compagnies de grain, mais l’Espagne défend également chèrement cette région. Nous avons donc fait beaucoup de dégâts au Limousin (eet bien sûr au Rhônes-Alpes), durant le dernier jour, assez pour réduire les dégâts espagnols sur les autres fronts.
Comme vous l’avez sûrement remarqué, la bataille du Poitou a été ouverte juste après le changement de jour : ceci nous permet de frapper deux fois alors qu’un bon nombre de soldats dort encore : une Espagne pleinement préparée n’est pas à notre portée. Nous avons décidé de ne pas l’ouvrir JUSTE AVANT le changement d’heure, car il aurait été facile pour l’Espagne de reconstruire le mur pendant le jour (comme ce qui s’est passé en RA et au Limousin), nous faisant perdre ainsi l’effet de surprise.

Au final, nous avons pu reprendre le Poitou-Charentes!

Ceci aura été notre premier pas dans la libération du territoire français : il est peut-être petit, mais c’est un pas en avant !
