Devil`s soldiers joining the army of EDEN!

Here our soldiers stand, from all around the world
Waiting in a line, to hear the battle cry
All are gathered here, victory is near
The sound will fill the hall, bringing power to us all!

I remember the time I joined EMC RO, about 9 months ago, however it seems like an eternity passed by. And indeed the eWorld changed a lot ever since. Back then EDEN looked a lot different, bigger and all-powerful but also lacking in brotherhood and cohesion. However, there was nothing better game-like then to be a member of the Corps.

We alone are fighting, for metal that it's true
We own the right, to live the fight, we're here for all of you
Now swear the blood upon your steel will never dry
Stand and fight together, beneath a battle sky

As soon as I joined the EMC channel was met by smara, our commander, who immediately "rewarded" me with push-ups for being late on appeal 🙂. Soon we entered combat. It was v2 and we were divided into Tanks and Helicopters. Tanks role was to conquer squares and inflict heavy damage while we, the Helis of Death squad commanded by Diuras, used to fly over the water and try to conquer as much land as possible. Back then the winner was the one who had the most land.

Many criticized v2 and indeed it was a boring copy of a 90`s strategy game. However it was still strategy, something you can hardly find in eRepublik on the battlefield nowadays. One day`s mission was to defend the capital against the Serbian tanks. 2 Hospitals and a Defense System were strategically placed in the forests nearby. Our plan was to try and resist as much as possible. The Serbs were 3 times more then us and we were doomed to lose. However we moved around defending and counter-attacking, managing to use the Hospitals in order not to give them to the enemy.

And In Their Final Hour They Shall Confess Before They Die

The capital was eventually lost and all of us killed in the process. Just like now, in face to face combat quantity defeats quality. However we reemerged on the defenders side and tried to protect 3 bridges which were the key points towards our camp. The tanks were defending the bridges while we the Helis used to hunt down those who dared to venture over the lake.

All Who Stand In My Way Will Die By Steel

I do not recall how the battle ended, most likely we lost. However this memory deserves to be told. This story deserves to be spoken. To all the new leafs of EDEN, to all the e-babies who appeared, to all of you out there who enjoy a battle fought hard. Remember the steel cladded tanks and helicopters marching for the glory of EDEN. Remember the EDEN MILITARY CORPS... for we are back!
