{eIre DoI} King Arthur or Whisky?

This article is meant to be a light hearten look at recent events, so dont take it too seriously

Greetings from the battle front Ireland,

John Simpson has just reported back from the last battle between the Irish military and the British soldiers. This battle ended up taking place in Northern Ireland, as the Irish military aimed to reunite their brethen who have been trapped under British rule for too long. Even before the battle started, chants of 26 + 6 = 1 could be heard as the troops moved towards the front line.

But now to cross to John Simpson...

Belfast

Belfast, an intergral part of Irish history once again has the proud colours of the Irish flag flying over it. The battle turned out to be slightly harder then originally expected, however the Irish military command had previously said that the past two battles appeared 'too easy'. While the battle dragged on for longer then expected, for the Irish, it was great to see who made up the 'overall' damage contributors:

7 of the top ten Irish fighters belong to Ireland, yet on the British side only 5 out of 10 made an impact

The Irish CP Rusty D was heard saying over a pint of Kilkenny "I am very proud to see such a large standing of Irish in the top 10 on our side, however credit should be given to our allies and friends from overseas. People like pammaxoc who led an Egyptian force onto the battle field to help us, like ex-Irishman Chance Harrison who fought hard for us and even The Black who laid down fire as well, to name a few".

Shortly after the securing of Northern Ireland from the British, many Irish families were finally reunited with loved ones. Scenes of jubilation were noticed on almost every street, as woman and children were brought together, after the proud Irish Military ensured the safety of there brethren.

However the Irish CP, who led his troops from the front line (unsure if the UK CP even bothered to turn up...), was quick to pour cold water on the euphoria surrounding the victory "While this is a great day, made only possible by our own citizens and our friends around the eWorld, we can not rest on our moral's. We saw from the likes of JiminyChristmas that some British still have a lot of drive and fight left in them. He bravely stood up in all divisions and fought extremely hard in the last round, even though we only need to win one area. For that I salute him"

And with that CP Rusty D went off to check on the defences being set up around Belfast, as it is expected that the remaining British population might try and rise up in a day or two, to either drain the resources of the Irish military or even to try and retake the town.

Where to next for Ireland?

Well Ireland yet again has two places it can attack, both with their own up's and down's to them. However this time around it is slightly different due to neighbouring countries current operations.

High or Low?s

The choices are Scotland which is located to the Northeast of Ireland or Wales which is located to the East of Ireland. Both of these regions are on main land UK, however both also have a desire of independence from their colonial ruler's.

Option A: Scotland.

Option A this time for Ireland would be to press the attack Northeast and lay claim to Scotland. Economically, this will not be a big boost for Ireland as it only has Aluminum, however it also holds 40 residence's and a large amount of factories (over 560 British owned factories), which would put economical and political pressure onto the current eUK CP. However in doing so, it will also increase the drive to hold onto that region.

Strategically speaking Scotland borders Canada, Finland and Denmark, of which non of them have a natural enemy, making it easier for them to join the battle against eIreland, especially Canada who has a close relationship with the UK.

Would it be worth it for a nice fine Scotch Whisky? as we all know the Irish CP is fond of a drink or two...

Option B: Wales.

Wales, as described in the last report, offers no resources to be had. But it offers an easy route into the capital of the UK, by making it more of a direct line of battles. However strategically it becomes a gamble. While the USA is soon to be at war once again with the Ukraine, a movement in this direction will open up a land border with Canada.

So will it be Whisky or the land of King Arthur?
