With the help of my Prime-Minister, we will explain to you after each week the work that has been done. For information, alexandross resigned from his position & I asked Muhezain (Babyboom) to become the new coordinator of my Governement. He accepted & I’m really happy with it.

Media & Fun

The SoFUN introduced his goals in this article & honoured Elynea’s newspaper as first “Newspaper of the week”. Lots of articles are expected in the next weeks to make our press more dynamic & share more fun between citizens.

Politics & Social Cohesion

The Secretary in charge was in holiday during 5 days, the work will begin this week 😛

In the future, after a trial, we will use this form approved by the Congress.

Demography

The Secretary is studying the process put in place in other countries to attract more citizens in Erepublik. He plans to start a contest asking eBelgians to create publicity videos that we will be able to share on other games, on forums, on websites, etc. to find Belgians who like this kind of game. He asked Congress to give their authorization to use a little of the big eBelgian money reserves to finance this project wich is really important for the future of our nation. However, this project could collapse seeing that Congress doesn’t support it for the moment.

Communication

Regarding the communication of the government, a lot of articles have been posted in game, giving the possibility to all the players, including “two-clickers”, to know what’s going on in eBelgium.

The visual improvement of government communications is also a priority, produced particularly with these new logos.















Immigration

We’re working to simplify the Immigration Law and make it more reflective of the in game reality but, meanwhile, we created this new page which helps people who ask for CS. They can now follow the process and know how long they will have to wait, if they’re accepted or not, etc. Also, starting from now, a little survey will be made of the congressmember on each candidate for eBelgian citizenship, reducing the dominance of the immigration officers on this matter. It will be easier to collect dense answers from candidates since we created this form, similar to those used in all the big ecountries, to manage more easily the immigration applications. We proposed this to the Congress.

Polls

In this first government report, you will find a first poll about the policies we are implementing in eBelgium during the last week.

Law Reforms

Our special task force has almost finished reading & annotating our Constitution. We will propose a new Constitution next month, with lots of improvements to make it easier to use and closer to the game logic.

Foreign Affairs

eBe has already participated in two CoT Summits since the start of this presidency. We acted on the Lithuanian decision to leave CoT because they felt more close to TWO than to CoT. We give our contribution in determining CoT plans for the future. And we have now to vote on the entry of Germany into CoT. As the Congress is in favour of it, I will support it.

We’ve contacted the new CPs from all the ecountries around the eWorld to introduce our new team & communicated to them eBelgium’s forum & IRC (#eBrussels on Rizon) to make communication easier with them.

We also launched a reverse ambassadors program. We started to recruit “consuls” in foreign countries. A consul is a citizen from a X country which will collect news for us & with whom our MoFA team will stay in close contact. They will permit us not to use the time & the motivation of eBelgians in tedious ambassadorial tasks. The eBelgians will then be able to use their time for our “cultural seduction” program. We started to conquer the eWorld forums, presenting our country with humour to guarantee an improvement of our ereputation around the New World.

The MoFA team has already written an article on the coming World war, explaining the situation to our citizens!

Defense

Poland proposed to renew our MPP with them, signed during the war against France, but we had to refuse because of the need to save our BEF for countries having lots of battles & members of CoT, our alliance. We will probably renew our MPP with the Republik of Macedonia (CoT) which is at war. The Russians proposed an MPP too, but we will wait until later in the month to discuss it, when they will be involved in more battles.

Also, each day the battle orders are posted here, in the MoD newspaper, where you can also find an article explaining which military unit might fit you the best!

I also succeeded in getting back our old Belgian Training Army (BTA) from Coryn by talking with him, see the topic on the forum for more explanations.

Finances

Thanks to the Backwards gold donation, our financial situation is excellent, the war didn’t cost too much & today the income of the State benefited a lot from the “Day 2000” event created by admins. The department is still studying a fiscal strategy for our nation.

Education

The Education Ministry posted a first tuto explaing the first steps into the game for newcomers. They are also working on the centralization of all the tutorials, making a necessary sorting & searching the best tutorials made in foreign enations to adapt them for eBelgium.
