[eBe] April/May Congress Report - 1

Dear Friends of eBelgium,
a new congress has been voting in and the voting for a new CoC has finished, so it is time to start with a new series of reports. During the April/May reports, the intention is that you will be kept informed on a regular basis about congress activities.

In-game laws
This section is almost similar as in the last reports, 1 donation law and multiple mpp-laws.
The mpp's stay giving a reason for discussion, since they are related with the way that eRepublik looks to eBelgium.

CoC
Each term there is need for a Chairman of Congress (aka CoC), a position that was filled by NLSP during the March/April term.
After a loud and long call for candidacies, two Members of Congress where willing to come up, MaryamQ and NLSP, who ended up with both 8 votes. This tie was resolved by looking to ingame experience, making NLSP renew his term as CoC for the April/May term. A third candidate, Fhaemita, had only 2 votes.
Small note: NLSP voted for MaryamQ and MaryamQ voted for NLSP 😉

SeCo
eBelgian has an Security Council (SeCo) that can in certain emergency situations take fast decisions in name of congress. Each party that has a representatives in congress, is allowed to appoint 1 person.
His job is, when the SeCo has to make a decision, to make such decision with the countries best interests in mind and not personal or party-politic ones.
Unfortunately, this month not all parties nominated a representative in the required time limit.

State Budget Law

The State Budget Law has been simplified. The amount of money that is stocked in a reserve, used to be dependent on the ratio of the current reserve and the state income. This has now been changed and eBelgium will save 10% of its monthly income, as long as the reserve is under 500.000 BEF

Citizen Programs
eBelgium has multiple citizen program's and they are continously in discussion to improve them and have new initiatives started.
The Citizen Packages have therefore increased and eBelgium players using Pulse, get now a state subsidy.
