Join the new world

So, Finally the election process is over
I would like to congratulate sharry, persian and firered who are now elected as Party Presidents of their respective parties.



Now,
As is the custom, I am writing this article so that I can tell my fellow party members what they can expect in the coming few days and the roadmap of our party.

Upcoming Projects



1. Continue the good work done by Naga/Troj4n20, in bringing the party to the forefront of Indian Party politics while simultaneously attracting active members to the Party. THis includes the proposals and banners,etc.
2. Focus on the upcoming congressional elections in getting the most suitable party members into congress.
3. Encourage the growing activity within the party and in media presence
4. Improving the image of the party in eyes of public [Bit vague but will do for now as a long-term project]


Congressional Elections



I think after becoming the Party President, my topmost priority is to sort out the candidates for the upcoming Congressional elections.
The object would be to ensure that all of the candidates fulfill the requisite criteria of being a responsible congressman, also, that once they are nominated, to ensure that they are elected. Expect discussions on this soon.

Executive Committee



As highlighted by Troj4n20 in his post here http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-dpi-democratic-party-of-india-party-platform-1902528/1/20 , as per his proposal to set up an executive committee comprised of 4-6 active members who will be representing the rest of the party.

Votes are still being taken as to the feasibility of this proposal, but rest assured I think this idea if implemented can be beneficial to the party in many ways:-
1. Firstly, it would lessen the burden on the Party leadership by a great deal, as the delay in party feedback is minimized in case of emergency situations.
2. Secondly, active participation is encouraged by providing the incentive of getting a seat in the EC
3. Greater accountability of the Party President to the party, makes lazy party presidents a bit of a improbability.

Therefore, I would urge all of DPI members to keep the above in mind while voting on this proposal.


Party Spokesperson




On to the matter of the person who would be the face of the party in media and he would be responsible for releasing articles regularly showing Party activity as well as the official standpoint of the Party in respect of a particular issue. He would also be automatically included into the EC.
So, All those interested can apply for the same in the Party Discussion Thread.
