[DERP 4 PotUS] The Great Task Ahead

Day 4,760, 11:10 Published in USA USA by Derphoof

The Presidency is nothing to take lightly. A good president can make a country stronger, unified, resilient. A bad president can leave a nation wayward, astray, disorganized. I know the consequences and outcomes of both such presidents. This isn’t because I’ve seen good presidents and bad presidents.

No, I’ve lived it. I’ve been both.

When I was in Canada, I was mediocre at best.

When I was elected to six consecutive terms in the US, it was a good ride that resulted in a lot of progress.

When I was elected to a seventh term, I was absent. The only thing to come of it has evolved into GIMP CRAP, as we know it today.

I have learned much along the way, and I have been considering bringing that learned experience back to the executive.

CG told me on the 19th that he planned to run for PotUS. Chthulu was said to be considering a run for a second term at the time, but nothing was confirmed. So too, a few unsatisfied voters had reached out to see if I was interested.

On the 26th, the night of Thanksgiving Day, I shouted my intent to get on the ballot. I had some worries, and was unsure about it. Having not been included in other primaries, I put it on the backburner. However, a couple of people in my party expressed their faith in me to run for office, by nominating me in our party primary.

I am humbled to accept their nominations. I intend to win the USWP nomination, and persuade enough voters to win the presidency.

We are a nation at a crossroads.

Partisanship is as high as ever, as accusations are being thrown left and right about people using and operating bots.

A number of congressmen are openly trying to deny the transfer of funds from our unusable national treasury to our usable CBO. There, assumedly, lies more mistrust among players.

Finally, we are seeking to finalize (arguably) the country’s most consequential change in foreign affairs since 2012, as we enter the realm of Apollo/Asteria.

For our next president, there is a lot to overcome.

I intend to tackle these problems head on, leading our country into a better tomorrow. We must resolve to work together, build bridges, and stand strong as we reach out to be a partner with our allies.

A nation is always going to be stronger together.

So, I will work to build bridges, both between our citizens to solve our big problems. Just as well, I will continue to finish the bridges between us and our allies. We must be confident that they are strong and sturdy, as our partnership increases.

I will assemble a great team to help me in that great endeavor and to handle the day-to-day minutiae that one horse-man cannot manage alone. As the executive, it’s my job to ensure the functioning of the government, and to oversee the administration.

With that team in place, I hope you will entrust me with the great work that lies ahead.
