[Dept. of Info] - Cabinet Report, 30th of June.

Day 953, 04:39 Published in South Africa South Africa by Ministry of Information eSA
Hello citizens of eSouth Africa!

Here is a breakdown of what has been going on with various Departments of the Cabinet over the past week and a bit.

Ministry of Defence

Not much has been happening with us - besides deploying troops to support our allies. Please subscribe to our newspaper, The Defence Standard, so that you know where you are meant to be fighting daily.

Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance has drawn up the budget for June, 2010, and all ministries have received the funding they requested. If you wish to read more about the budget, click here and click here to see the breakdown of the budget. We have also been tracking the treasury and tax income over the past term, as is the norm. Unfortunately tax income has decreased due to global product dumping, resulting in lower prices worldwide across the board. This will most likely end up reducing our surplus, but won't affect funding of Ministries.

The Department of Trade has been monitoring long-term job wages as well as the health of eSA business. You can check out the job wages report here and if you're interesting in looking at the information gathered on the health of business, hit up this link. We've has also started a money pooling initiative for eRepublik Rising, allowing interested parties to pool resources to establish various companies. To learn more about this, click here.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Not much has been going on with the Department. eSouth Africa is looking to renew the MPPs with the following countries: eGreece, eCroatia, ePoland & eChina.

Ministry of Information

The Ministry of Information has seen a change with the appointment of Dartreal as the new Minister of Information. Dartreal brings with him experience as two terms of eAustralia's Minister of Public Relations (aka Information). Unfortunately the former Minister of Information Nickerball and Deputy Minister of Information Fhaemita Malodorous had many days ago due to real life issues.

We have to apologise to the eSouth African citizens for the delay of transferring all of the Minister of Information's duties to Dartreal as both he and Zamrg have been busy with real life issues. Now that Dartreal has full control of everything involving the Ministry of Information you can expect some more weekly updates until the term ends.

As with eAustralia, Dartreal will be posting weekly Cabinet and Congress Reports that will reveal all the goings on with the government of eSouth Africa. Nothing will be hidden, unless it is super secret and classified information that the public aren't meant to know about. You can be assured that there will be no biasness on the part of the Minister of Information. Everything will be called as it is without any coatings of sugar.

Ministry of Security

We've had a great success with the ATO effort this month. The system has been streamlined and it was possible for us to place 150 blockers (including stand-by blockers) with great efficiency. Looking at the resources the PTO'ers spent, this was a very costly exercise for them just to get a single person into congress. A great shame for them indeed!

We will be working hard on the presidential elections again and if, as party president, you are not aware of the procedure we will be following for the upcoming elections, please get into contact with the Minister of Security (mulderpf) soon! The end of the 3rd Republic was with the presidential elections, so we want to be extra careful when it comes to presidential elections to ensure the safety of the country.

Ministry of Social Development

The Department of Mentorship is continuing to work on the "Charity Begins at Work" program. We've started a Noob Squad for continued outreach and hope everyone becomes involved in it as much as possible.

The Department of Education continues to regularly write articles that inform our citizens. The next article will deal with always being prepared for war. If you see any of these articles by the Ministry of Education please give them a shout and vote them up to help out those who need this information. To do this, please subscribe to our newspaper: The Educator.

The Department of Fun is creating a new contest and will announce it in the next few days! Make sure you keep an eye out for it and get involved with some fun and games!

Ministry of Tourism

There's been a very good response from the way things are going in the Ministry of Tourism. A campaign was run based around the World Cup theme - since it is being held in South Africa - but that has show a limited amount of success. The mass messaging throughout eSouth Africa was major success. This allowed us to gather information on everyone and find out where all of the new arrivals to eSouth Africa were coming from. We're also about to launch another small drive which involved the members of the eSA public. Please keep an eye out for these events coming soon!

That's all from the Cabinet this week. Thanks for reading. Please subscribe to this newspaper for future updates from the eSouth African Government.

Also, remember to come say hello on the eSouth African IRC. You can also follow eSouth Africa on our Facebook and Twitter accounts!
