[Dental Corps] The Awards Just Keep Coming
The Vagabonds
As you all may know, DC are vastly experienced in both the Military and Political aspects of this lovely game. So when we spot potential achievement, from whatever source, we seek to reward it!
Recently in the news we have seen Rex and LongshotzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZ's new movement towards their idea of eUK communism, and of course we have recognised the achievement of actually trying to change something in this country. Therefore we are thrilled to issue you both with a
DC Award for Best Act Of Crackhead Communism.
So I went to check out their office and to drop off the award...
Their idea of an office and mine are on two different levels, needless to say i went with it.
With any idea political or otherwise, there is always room for improvement. This is available in our Dental Corps Salvation Division. With Zaphod being in the same commie boat we have
To all potential Dentists - The art of dentistry is a skilled profession. You can't just become a Dentist you have to earn that right by examination. If you feel you are eligible then request an audience with us on IRC @ http://tinyurl.com/dental-corps
Don't join until you're approved...

Making light of the suffering of the most excluded from society, the homeless, the drug-abused? Check.
In my lifetime I was so so close to being what 'society' call the 'excluded from society', however the choices I made were the right ones. No excuses, I chose to keep myself away from that kind of life. With no hope and originally with no education to speak of I have pushed through to the position I hold today. Everyone can do the same if they CHOOSE so.
I don't know anything about your life, but I don't think people laughing about crack addicts does anyone any good.
better to laugh than to pity...
what!? what exactly is wrong with pitying crackheads?
Why pity em.Nobody forced that shit up their noses or in their veins.They brought it on themselves,therefore tough shit imo
It's easy for you to say that, but you have no idea the situations these people grow up in, and you also have no idea how you would react in that situation. A lot of addicts are mentally ill and/or abused. It is a choice, but it's a choice that is a lot easier to say no to when you have the prospect of a decent life ahead of you. When life has dealt you a shit hand and you want anything to escape the pain it's a lot harder to say no. You might think you sound tough and reasonable, but really you're just being ignorant.
You just said it yourself.Its a choice.They know the risks.As for sounding tough.No mate i'm just sick to death of lilly livered people who defend them and the choices they make.I suppose it's not their fault that they have to rob and mug(in a lot of cases) to finance their habbit.
If you really think that the people addicted to hard drugs who end up on the streets made or are making an informed choice without duress, mental illness, or any other issues, I have to agree with Elvis that you are being ignorant.
They had a choice to take or not to take highly addictive substances,knowing full well where it can lead .And you expect me to me to be sympathetic.Sorry but no can do.
@Yossarian Afudyakno
Are you saying that everyone who ends up on drugs are the victims of abuse, being poor etc?? There are many who start taking drugs on a recreational basis thinking that "it won't happen to them".
There are plenty of people who have been abused, poor, mentally ill etc who still make the right choice in choosing not to start taking drugs.
If they think "it will not happen to them" they obviously AREN'T fully aware of the risks.
You think everyone is well educated on the risks of drugs? Where did you learn it, in school, not everyone goes to school. You really have no idea what you're talking about Mick.
@Elvis Trout
Even if you don't know the finer points about any individual drug, surely it is general knowledge that drugs change the chemicals in your body and poses risk? Don't drug users ever wonder why class A drugs might be illegal?? Most people I know who have experimented with drugs are aware of the potential dangers, see there is a 10,000 to one chance they might have a negative reaction to it (ie, potential death) and judge them to be good odds.
To be honest, the sort of people who didn't learn the stuff in school are probably the people who grew up in places were drugs were a lot more easily accessable and have probably seen the dangers and how they distroy lives. And if they have seen it and still decide to dabble then that is evolution in practice.
The fact is, most people who are either poor, or mentally ill or have been abused don't turn to class A drugs. Alcohol maybe, but certainly not class A drugs. Sure, those who do end up on the streets might end up poor, mentally damaged etc but that is usually as a result of the drugs - ie, it is the outcome and not the cause.
It is a very left wing idea that people who make bad decisions should somehow be pitied and that society is in some way to blame. While I take the view that society should help these people to recover etc, for as long as the person doesn't take responsibility for their actions and continue to blame others then there is no helping them.
And does this mean that if you see someone coming out of a club completely drunk and they walk into a lamp post, I suppose you would not laugh at all and instead say it isn't the drunkard's fault and that the blame is that of the barman who served him drinks??
Ofc they are aware of the risks.If not what are they doing?Walking around with blinkers on and ear plugs in.As for school,meh i cant remember that far back mate tbh.I do know we did'nt have any educational talks about drugs.No mate you dont have to go to school to know drugs are bad.It's advertised across all forms of media
Drugs aint bad, its the weak willed takers that give illegal drugs a bad name. You think you can fly? Take off from the ground first. I know many that are at the top of their careers and are massive coke heads. I also know many that are pot heads, that function perfectly well.
Scientists have been looking at using MDMA, LSD and a Ketamine derivative to help cure many psychological problems. Drugs aren't bad, just the select few who use them in a way they can't handle.
@Wayne
Although I am anti-narcotics in my thinking, I agree that there is a place for the likes of MDMA etc as usage for medicine - many sufferers of MS say that smoking weed helps in a way that legal medicines don't. I do think the decision should be made by a qualified medically trained person and not the average Jo (or Tom or Dick or whatever their name is) deciding they need these drugs as self medication.
The problem is, when the odds of permanent brain damage is one user in 10,000 (for example) then there are 9999 people who claim to be strong willed. But until you take the next shot, you don't know if you are the weak "one" who has got lucky at that point.
Just treat us as adults and allow us to make up our own mind. Alcohol is by far the worst one out the lot. How many guys have you seen punch another guys lights out after an all day toking session? How many pill heads have you seen smash up a kebab shop after a friday night out?
Hail Wayne, Hail Drugs. o7
