wish DC was as strong as they say they were and got an NE against Canada passed...

DC are undeniably strong militarily and economically. They even have a ton of power politically for such a small group. But the majority of UK Congress is made up of the unintelligent (mainly New Era) and the complacent (mainly TUP). It's an uphill battle, especially with New Era figureheads back in the country, but it'll happen sooner or later.

Getting any NE passed that isn't proposed by a TUP CP is really very difficult, as TUP can fail it single handedly, and their Congressmen tend to be very conservative
