With the inevitable demise of MSN Messager, we firstly take a look back some of the best (worst) things about it, the bots. Bringing joy to many lonely teenagers looking for someone to talk to. Below is an example of their services.





Even with the demise of these bots, technology advances. Which brings us round to celebrating a new, more advanced messaging bot.








There has been a more sophisticated bot living amongst our IRC channels for a long time now, but only discovered recently. That bot is Alphabethis.


What makes this bot so much better than all the MSN bots?


Well that is a simple answer, the Alphabethis bot can NEARLY answer questions directly!





It can attempt to pick up and carry on general conversations (this function we
believe is still being developed)





It can even switch topic to keep the conversation going between players!





Though still a long way to completion, we at RADC HQ are extremely impressed at the level of progression and advancement that we have already seen in this bot. And thus are awarding the creator of ''Alphabethis'' a
DC Award in Message Bot Mechanics!
