Quitting isn't part of the plan here...

If you're wondering whatever happened to my daily pundit series, my defense is that I don't feel like putting the effort into immersing myself in the politics of a nation that's barely hanging on to one province. I will resume when it's worth my trouble.

For this article, I'll call it the rage-quit article without the actual quitting.

I've seen lots of players say goodbye to this game and to this community. I've seen articles raging about how everything here is wrong, and I've seen articles just generally saying goodbye "forever". I'm not one of those people.

Personally, I can't seem to quit, nor do I ever plan to (sorry if you got your hopes up jacka*😉. Why? Maybe it's because this game is so unique, maybe it's because I've spent too much time here to give up, and maybe because I have hope that everything will one day improve. I can't give you any sure answers apart from one fact, quitting isn't part of the plan here.

I've never won any "official" medals handed out by some self richeous President (yes I may be a LITTLE bitter... just a little bit), but in my 3 years here (though I've probably only spent 1 1/2 actually playing), I've done quite a lot. I started countless projects of all sorts, I've been I've been everywhere in politics apart from the Cabinet and Presidency (Ok maybe I overstated the "everywhere"), I've been ridiculously trolled (and didn't become "an hero" (google it), lol), ran for president almost as many times as Trentonius, and generally whether they like it or not, I've been part of the eCanadian community. I see lots of change going on here, and I can't say it's the type of "good change" I'd like to see, but I'm still hoping... And although I missed most of it, I still miss the "old era" circa day 500ish when I first arrived, but what can you do amrite? Well... you can always quit forever but like I said, that's not something I see worth doing.

At the end of the day, what the hell is the point of quitting? Well if you keep reading I do make some references to how it gives you the perks of glorifying your d***chebaggery, but it's a waste if time if you rationally value whatever investment you made here.

All in all if you were expecting some sort of substance or valuable lesson after reading this article I'm sorry you got your hopes up. Rage-quit articles rarely, if ever, provide anything useful apart from the the occasionally juicy scandals, and they never really get anything done apart from creating a self-glorifying eObituary that noone gives two f**ks about in the long run (look up Dominik for a better understanding of what I mean). They also usually contain wayy too many run-on sentences like the one I just wrote above.

If you're like me, do what I do and keep logging on once every week. If you find something you like, hop back on, if not, get back to the routine. See you in a week.
