This is how Rolo's feeling right now.
"Another day another dollar", and Addy Lawrence (who likes to call himself your D'addy), is sure banking off Rolo Tahmasee's election. Rylde however, has decided that he instead will help Sweden in it's effort to take over eCanada, hereby "purging" eCanada of Rolo's presence. So now we have two extremist groups who have both reacted in ways that ultimately make sure Rolo keeps on #winning,
1. The "Ryldes" who vow to wipe eCanada off the map.
2. The "D'addys" who become your best friend for lyfee when you get elected as President, no matter who you are.

Indeed "for the good of our nation", Addy Lawrence has "humbly" decided to serve under Rolo Tahmasee as our Minister of Finance. Rolo of course, has awarded Addy with giving top positions in his cabinet to Addy's fellow party members (goons).
But of course, coming from the founder (and very much still the leader) of political party that likes to call itself the "Ministry of Opportun[ists]", this should all very much be expected.
If that wasn't enough, your D'addy has also decided that it was perfectly OK to help endorse Rylde when he advertised free guns to the Swedes who want to invade our a**es.

Addy's argument, which he tries to explain the comments section of this article, is that
"It is a proven strategy to combat a raging forest fire by starting a controlled forest fire in the path of the raging forest fire.
Rylde's support of the Swedes will expire when his supplies run out. The sooner he runs out of supplies, the better. Rylde has also proven that he cannot be negotiated with. Urgent times call for urgent measures."
K. So who gave you orders to do that again? Rolo? So Rolo told you to do this? Or wait, was this your idea? Like, for example, giving extra legitimacy to Rolo by becoming his official Minister? Cool ideas, bro.
And speaking of Rolo, he's like the used condom that clogged up your toilet.
That's Rolo for ya.
However, logically speaking, Rolo is the only one who is truly left #winning in this game. Why? Let me outline it.
1. Addy's career is severely tainted due to opportunism and/or stupidity. Sure he can profiteer/be-an-idiot all he wants until next elections, but it's doubtful the next CP (assuming it won't be Rolo), will continue to keep Addy appointed as Minister.
2. Addy Lawrence is giving legitimacy to Rolo further helping Rolo solidify his electoral base for next elections and rewrite history as the guy who "saved eCanada by robbing it". Quick note here: Indeed thanks to Rolo we no longer have the "corrupt" ministry of industries. But where does "stealing over 5000 gold from eCanada" factor into "helping eCanada" instead of "helping your ego/wallet"?
3. Rylde is also foolishly helping Rolo by allowing him to take the hero's role of eCanada's defender AND by screwing up with his anti-rolo MDP electoral base who have now lost faith in this country and will either join Rylde's campaign against eCanada (for "lulz" of course), or move on to someplace less reminiscent of a crack den. Either way Rylde and his followers don't seem to be strong enough to take eCanada down anyway so their foolish goals are more symbolic than practical. Rylde probably forgot that eCanada has allies (and TemujinBC's credit card) too....
4. Rolo is free to steal all he wants and/or fix his image and/or lead the country. The point is he's having fun. Are YOU having fun? Didn't think so.
A "solution" to the problem would be to impeach Rolo. But, there are problems with that too, so let me number them again for you (since I haven't done that enough already),
1. Thanks to Addy & Rylde, Rolo is gaining popularity. And, since Rolo seems to be "taking his job seriously", no one can technically point to any wrongdoings thus far (apart from, yuh kno, taking over 5000 gold from eCanada a little while ago and being a kniving douche up until now).
2. Muglack, Aeriala & Rylde are the alternatives. Lol

5. If Muglack, Aeriala & Rylde (who are the alternatives), do a poor job (honestly don't even bother with the "IF" on this one), that will make congress look like a bunch jacka**es for impeaching a CP that was akshully doing a p good job.
6. Rolo has gained so much support recently thanks to his well chosen tactics and foolish followers/"enemies", that there won't be enough support to impeach him which will again make congress look like a bunch of jacka**es.
So what options do we have? None. None that will really help this month, tbh. However, we CAN take some edumicashuns from this and make sure that next month (lol another list),
1. We have proper candidates.
2. We don't elect Rolo.
3. We cut off Rolo from his supply of Tiger's Blood.
And before I conclude, I'd just like to ask you to please,

You are indeed correct about the Rylde situation. While I understand his point of view, he is indeed just pushing some moderates in this equation into Rolo's camp.
Next month, we need real candidates, or at least ones that are not so maligned as to be perceived as false candidates like you have painted Aeriala and Muglack.

I think Rylde and Rolo have given us a deserved kick in the collective rump. It has woken me to the state of the political module in the game and demonstrated our rather lackadaisacal manner in responding to the quirks in that 'democratic' system.
When Alias, one of our most esteemed writers and Congressmen, says in one posting that MOO is responsible for getting Rolo elected...well, I realize that there is not very much awareness about what really goes on, and many accept things at face value. Sure, Addy pulled all the strings, got Rolo elected, is now stuffing MOO people in important places (ie. Olafur and Rearden)....right.
Rolo puts out a call for positions to make govt work, spots that need filling. No one steps forward and looks down on those that do. Will you be making pariahs of Beeman and jsboutin next?
^ No one steps forward? That too is a fault in of it's own. I spoke in a earlier article about the eCanadian political elite losing it's self-respect after this election.
However I couldn't step up to the plate in the last elections and run for President, but that doesn't mean I can't criticize the events that happened.
Whatever Rolo does this month matters little to me. If anything we'll take his "good examples" and carry them forward, however the fact that he took over 9000 gold of government assets (yet in the liquidation process lost a good sum of it), and refuses to return it will mean that I can never accept him as President. I don't know what other people's standards are (well by looking at the election I can assume what they are), but I do not accept Rolo as CP.
I'm not saying he won't do a "good job", I'm just saying we have have totally lost our self-respect to assume that only Rolo could have knocked some sense into our leadership system.
Strings will always be pulled, but shame on those who turn a blind eye to it all.

I may not like Rolo much but you can't deny that he's winning the pissing contests. He's probably having more fun than anybody else doing it too.
I keep hearing that he stole money but that was long before my time and it doesn't seem to have made eCanada a horrible place. He seems to be doing a good job so let's let him keep doing it. This war has made things a lot more fun for the rest of us, so keep at it!

I'm not so sure you're always keen on doing the best you can for your country, given my personal experience, you sometimes put your career ahead of anything else. Just saying.
