[DAF] The Warefare Module

Day 4,463, 09:36 Published in Netherlands Poland by Shawtyl0w

Dear soldiers of the Netherlands,

The government hasn't published an article directed at new players explaining the war module and the concequences of fighting for a long time. As commander of DAF I find it important that all new citizens especially those that are a member of the Dutch Armed Forces MU are informed on how to play eRepublik and thus knows the ins and outs of the warfare module. It's time to inform our new citizens once again.

The basics

WHenever you enter the battlefield you will either be shown a ground or aerial battle. The damage you do by clicking the kill or deploy button depends on the energy you've got, the weapons you've selected, the strength or perception you have and lastly the rank you have in de specific discipline. The warefare progression stats are split in two specializations. You've got a ground rank and an aerial rank. With each new rank you will receive a 5% damage increase. There is one exception and that is whe you start to become a legend of a country. When you become a legend your damage will increase with 5% when fighteing for any country in the world except for your citizenship country. When you become a legend of a specific country your damage for that country will increase with 10% instead of 5%. Note that once you switch citizenship this bonus % will apply to the original country.

* The guerilla warfare module inside the ground battle module allows you to play some sort of mini game that can increase your normal damage output. It is a different type of figthing that has become uncommon.

As mentionned before an erepublic a war campaign consists of ground battles as well as aerial battles. Every fourth round in a campaign is an aviation battle, the other rounds are ground battles.

Important to know for new players. Figthing in ground battles using weapons costs a lot of money. Money you do not wish to spend. We recommand all young citizens to focus on fighting in aerial battles without using quality 1 (Q1) aerial weapons. The reason for this is that the ground battles contain divisions. Each devision contains players who have an experience level between a certain range. Because there are players with more than 200,000 strenght in all divisions you as a new player has almost no chance of winning battle hero medals and unless you have big bombs you'll be unable to make any difference in the outcome of a ground battle. This is different for aerial battles!

To the point: Forget about ground battles if you are new.

Ground Soldiers

Government programs like The Green Beret have helped many of our stronger players to thrive and earn some money by figthing. As a country and as national MU we try to stimulate all our strong ground figthers to become Legends of the eNetherlands and join the Weekstrom Battalions.

Ground battles
During ground battles all players are split into four separate divisions, based on their Experience level:
- Level 1 - 34: Division 1 Reward for most damage in a round - 2 Gold
- Level 35 - 49: Division 2 Reward for most damage in a round - 3 Gold
- Level 50 - 69: Division 3 Reward for most damage in a round - 4 Gold
- Level 70 - >: Division 4 Reward for most damage in a round - 5 Gold

Erepublik campaigns are based on a point system. Every division in the ground battles earns a country a different amount of points:
- Division 1, 1 point
- Division 2, 2 points
- Division 3, 3 points
- Division 4, 5 points
* Once a battle becomes Epic(when a very high amount of damage is reached) the campaign points are doubled.

In the past we as a government have always promoted the filosophy of training to get strong before you earn to much experience and enter the new division. We even kept statistics in the form of an article called "the ranking that matters". Currently new players are facing a gap in strength that they are unable to bridge. The difference is simply to great. For the players with a high strenght level it is important to equipe yourself with high quality weapons in order to do more damage and gain more rank points. This will also allow you to spent less energy per kill which means you will be able to complete freedom figther, daily orders and mercenary medals faster.

Figther Pilots

With the start of the government program The Flying Dutchman the eNetherlands has slowly but surely become a significant player in aerial battles. We are able to push walls for allies and determinte the outcome of campaigns thanks to the 22 points that can be won in aerial battles. We are proud that the pilots of the Dutch Armed Forces are able to slowly ranking up to become Chief Master Sergaents, Wing Commanders and even Group Captains.

Aerial battles
In aerial battles every player fights in the same division. Since the perception of every player in the game is 0 the damage per hit is only influenced by the aviation rank of a player. For this reason new players who build their aviation rank are able to compete with older players. In order to be able to do a significant amount of damage it is important you have a lot of energy. You can increase your energy by activating houses, buying energy centers from the advanced building tab and purchase pay-to-play packs offered by erepublic.

We recommand you to always have a Q1 house active. They provide you with 50 extra energy (times 2 because you can also recover 50 more energy). Any time you have a house active for a full hour you receive 1 overtime point. once you have 24 overtime points you can work a secondtime. because of the current market value of the Q1 house and the average salary the house will be for free even earning you a little bit of extra currency.
As a young citizen you are asked to become a citizen of a region. When you combine residency with houses you will receive a energy regeneration boost that will help you recover your energy quicker.

Back to the aviation battles, There is no pay-to-play offered pack that prevents experience gain from fighting in aviation battles. This means that once you commit to fighting in aviation battles you commit to earning experience.Any new player should not even thank about this but for the old players who use the IK pack which prevents them from gaining experience so they can stay in the lower divisions should carefully consider this.

The reward for winning a Sky Hero of an aerial battle is 30 gold. The winning country of the aviation battle also received 22 campaign points. Because of this significant amount of points the aviation round is often well contested and of great importance to the outcome of important campaigns. As a new player who in ground battles has little influence in the outcome of a campaign there is opportunity in aerial battles when it comes to being of importance for your country.

Other advantages of becoming an aviation pilot is that you don't have to fight with weapons because thier % benefit is very limited. This means that fighting becomes less costly. When fighting with Q7 weapons in a ground battle you spent about 100cc per weapon lasting for 10 FF(10 hits or 100 energy). When fighting in air battles you don't have to fight with weapons saving you tons of currency.

A highly detailed aerial guide can be found here

When you are unsure what you want to do because your strength isn't above average in your division you might consider trying to complete DO's in aviation battles instead of ground battles. This will allow you to keep your options open for a while.

Shawtyl0w
