Win > Fail!

This one's obvious. Why has (overall) PEACE failed and E/F won? Let us see...

1. E/F will recover. The argument that PEACE has severely damaged E/F and damaged our infrastructure is a moot point. E/F and eMerica have benefitted more from the attacks then have been damaged. Except for anyone that has downgraded or destroyed their companies because of PEACE propaganda (posing as eMerican patriots) telling them to do so to prevent PEACE from using their companies (which is rather silly idea). The attack wiped out a lot of our poorly placed and useless Q1/Q2/Q3/Q4 hospitals. Srsly, the only hospitals that are worth anything are Q5 hospitals. Also, 67.5% of statistics are made up on the spot, so I suggest that Zoli show where he gets his statistics.

2. eMerica's coming together! They got a little baby boom and are learning how to organize better. In fact, E/F is becoming a more centralized/focused brolliance. In case, you didn't know, American patriotism and fervor is based on protecting our country and spreading democracy (this can be done without going "lulz lets go invade sum nashuns") not invading other countries (as PEACE and some RL propaganda would suggest). Since most of the time we've been messing with our neighbors (without much support from our people) and all the countries in the game are democracies by default, eMerica doesn't have much reason to exist... until now. PEACE has awakened the sleeping giant...

3. Publicity win for E/F. You cannot deny that PEACE's image has been ruined by this war. They initiated an aggressive action against a nation that hasn't really done anything to anyone (except Mexico and Canada). Their less extremist allies (except for a few who have been really offended by some E/F member states in the past) are already talking about leaving the war (under the condition that they can still participate through MPPs). Lots of neutral nations are starting to lean towards E/F.

4. Tie! Zoli is right about one thing, this war has prevented us all from going inactive and quitting eRepublik, which is a positive thing. You can't have war heroes without a war and this is a war that has made dozens and dozens of such heroes, as well as giving experience and something to do for many new players. I, personally, ranked up three times thanks to the war. In this area, both sides have won.

5. PEACE did catch us by surprise. Something that won't happen again very soon. Problems early on in the war compounded against E/F, but somehow we recovered. PEACE won this point.

6. Wars need to have a good casus belli. PEACE failed at this, as well. The official casus belli was vague and unclear. We were attacked for actions against a handful of PEACE member states. I concede the point that we have been belligerent in the past, but for PEACE to accuse us of imperialism is quite ironic. The main intent of the war was to cripple eMerica and to destroy it's ability to support E/F once and for all. Paint it however you like... had eMerica fallen or agreed to the peace treaty with PEACE, PEACE would've worked to systematically destroy/cripple every single E/F nation. E/F's casus belli is self-defense. PEACE's casus belli is imperialism (the level of irony there is amazing).

Score is 4.5 (E/F) to 1.5 (PEACE). Btw, I don't know who came up with Brolliance, but whomever did so is made of win.


True Ally > Puppet!

What constitutes a true ally or a puppet? Well... here's the dictionary definition of the two:

Puppet
3 : one whose acts are controlled by an outside force or influence
Ally
1 : a sovereign or state associated with another by treaty or league

By definition, all of the smaller and aligned countries are allies, but what constitutes a true ally? Perhaps a nation that throws itself into battle selflessly in the defense of another friendly nation. Let no one deny that there are allies and puppets on both sides, but I have seen more puppets on PEACE's side than on ours.

Our side has virtually no way to control or influence allied nations (outside of a PTO). PEACE, on the other hand, bosses their allies around with an iron fist or influences their decisions by giving them fake promises of wealth and glory. We have nothing to promise our allies. We can't force them to do anything.

The fact of the matter is that we didn't say, "Go out there and die for eMerica." We were out there fighting PEACE. I see how it is. PEACE decimates Spain, North Korea, Norway and Switzerland and they blame it on eMerica because we didn't help them. What do you expect? We would have helped them if we weren't facing PEACE swarms all over our own soil. This is a false argument. There's no real option in that situation. Either way, the result would be that PEACE would decimate both eMerica and her allies.

If we're going to play that game, then what about when we PTOed Italy and PEACE responded NOT by helping Italy, but by moving on to PTO Canada. So much for true allies... eMerican allies entered this war both of their free accord and because PEACE forced them into the war by attacking them. E/F isn't a group of puppets centered around eMerica and eRomania. E/F is made of countries who fight and die in the defense of one another.

PEACE's allies involved themselves only when they knew they would be out of harms way. E/F's allies put themselves on the line selflessly. Taking all that into consideration, brolliance should be reserved for E/F only.


USA > Hungary!

Hungary's day has come and gone. Her empire will snowball into collapse. eMerica will be out for blood for a while and they probably will follow the path of Hungary... literally.

What do I mean by that? Well, it's pretty obvious. eMerica will follow the paths of Indonesia and Hungary. They will work to destroy the empires that Hungary and Indonesia have created by following their paths of conquest and returning those provinces to their original owners. After that, it's likely that they will work to launch a large retaliatory invasion against Hungary and Indonesia.

We went for other countries half-heartedly. Now, we're going to go after Hungary and Indonesia with a burning passion. A passion for revenge. We've tasted blood and now we will get ours and then some. Hungary and Indonesia have plenty of non-original regions. Their bellies are fat from devouring all those 'non-original' regions and assimilating them into their empires.

Will the USA return the favor to Hungary and Indonesia? Will the return from the brink of destruction to wreak havoc upon the world's greatest imperialist powers?
