Today, the Canadian Paradox Party has been doing some math with a few of its nerds, and unfortunately we have some bad news! We live in a Capitilist economy! Our home and our native land... our country, that we stand on guard for, has been steadily going downhill over time (100 CAD to 1 GOLD ring any bells for anyone?), and it's now TIME for CHANGE! How? Simple:
We CURRENTLY have: more money in the governments hands, less power for the peoples demands, few rich and many poor, this is not the Canada that the CPP once dreamed for. What we need is a national economy that is controlled BY THE PEOPLE, and works FOR THE PEOPLE, in the interest of THE PEOPLE.
Our world famous scientists in CPP HQ have found the solution! A socialist economy is what Canada needs! After much research from our experts with degrees and diplomas... we've come to the conclusion that a socialist economy is EXACTLY what we need! Why you may ask?
1. A socialist economy supports more money in every Canadians pockets! No more shall the man with 30 companies dominate over the man who can barely afford one!
The economy, again, needs to be controlled by THE PEOPLE. A fairer distribution of company ownership, means more people will have their own "say" in the economy (with both our markets and our GOLD/CAD ratios), which will better allow eCanada to TRULY have an influence in our current economic situation!
2. A socialist economy would make more charities for Canadians! Not only would this help all the new players who have trouble affording food for tomorrow, but it would help the society that can barely afford to fight today!
Free healthcare? Free education? All of that sounds VERY VERY appealing! A socialist economy fully supports this principle! After all, it's an economy for THE PEOPLE! With this, we can get our tax dollars REALLY WORKING, for both government funded "new player" programs, and "veterans" programs.
3. A socialist Economy promotes the ideology of retaining our current tax value, or raising them by a small margin! Although when applied to the real world, this idea would be very bad, with a socialist economy, we would raise taxes NO MORE than 2% in order to increase surplus for programs (mentioned above)... that would in the end, result in YOUR TAX MONEY being used for programs.. that actually benefit YOU!

By the way, it's not just Canada's economy going through strife, it's all of Erepublik due to the economy changes. Socialism isn't going to help Canada subvert the inevitable consequences of the game changes.

I belive we need to put taxes down a lot.
In new mode everyone can buy and sell items...then everybody will go in Canda to buy and sell at his own countries, and aur people will be able to to grow faster and more enyoy in game. For the eCanada wallet will be this ting even more profitable than now.

I am an eCanadian who owns several companies. This has allowed me to produce far in excess of what I consume. Every day, I am able to sell that extra food and iron to a free market, lowering costs for everyone, and thus improving their standard of living.
I would like to know how my actions are harming eCanadians. How am I dominating over them, or harming them in any way? Does my self sufficiency harm you? Does your success, or that of any other eCanadian harm me?
I could choose to stop operating my companies. This would no longer place me in a position of "dominance", as you term it, over other eCanadians. Would eCanada benefit from me working less every day? Will we be able to stand against a nation that unfetters its people, allowing them to produce as much as they can?
I am not trying to be difficult, I'm just trying to understand your mentality.
at the moment high taxes are killing almost every company
comparing salaries and resource and products prices its obvious any and each company owner loose his money
in conclusion Government is getting rich at cost of all companies through low income tax and high VAT
workers dont pay taxes (1% is nothing) but companies through high VAT pay 2x
My problem with socialism, is that it is contrary to my belief that I am the best person to deal with my money.
Sure, free healthcare is appealing. However, I don't give a fuck about it if taxes make my companies -and my income- fall.
Again, this is going to the lowest common denominator.
Free education? In this game? Really? Education in erep?
What about you let me have my buck, and I'll try to get the best bang for it myself.
