[CPF] Acacia Mason For Congress

Day 2,134, 16:33 Published in Canada Canada by Acacia Mason

Good Evening eCanada,

Shortly, you will be asked to go to the polls to elect a Congress for the first time with a robust alliance and tax issues to debate. Now more than ever, you need to make sure your vote counts and that you elect a Congress team that will act in the best interests of eCanada.

I am coming to you today under the banner of the Canadian Progressive Front, in the hope of securing your vote and a seat in Congress. As opposed to writing a long, monotonous, and tedious article, I am going to cut to the chase and give you my position on the prevailing issues of the day.

On Alliances

As a current trial member of CoT, we have begun to build an MPP stack that will serve us well in the interim. To fully commit to CoT at this stage without fully exploring our options however, would be akin to cutting off our collective noses, to spite our face. It is critical that Congress explore alliance options with other countries regardless of what alliance they hail from. It is equally important that we explore potential new alliances like the “Commonwealth” concept currently being thrown around. Though I admit we need the protection of a full sized alliance, throwing all our eggs into the CoT basket is not something we should be doing without performing due diligence. As a CPF member of Congress, I will push the CP of the day to explore all options fully and present those options, not only to Congress, but also the public in general.

On Taxation & Tax Holidays

I am a big proponent of our current tax holiday, though I think it needs to be measured and kept in check as time progresses. Although I would support continuing this tax hiatus indefinitely, we must also balance the needs of eCanada, with the wants of its taxpayers. Logic clearly dictates, that the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few. We must not allow a “Robin Hood” mentality to set in whereby we “Rob” the country of its treasury without being just or measured in our approach. I will be asking the current MoF and next months MoF, to keep Congress abreast of our current financial picture. I will also be asking Congress to examine the potential to restore limited MU funding. To be clear though, I am a much larger supporter of self sufficiency, and I believe the last 8 months have been a stern test of our MU’s and their ability to remain self sufficient. Funding should be limited and handed out strategically. Those MU’s who are not strong enough to stand on their own two feet should amalgamate or be swallowed up by larger more efficient MU’s for the good of the Country.

On The NAP and Getting Our Regions Back

Congress needs to tread carefully, and much of what I stated on alliances will come home to roost here. Although I am not a fan of having our regions held by Spanish Pig Dogs, I am also not so far off my rocker as to think we can just take what we want without help. Prudence will be required to chasten us as we prepare and lay some foundation for the eventual return of our regions. Both the current CP and the incoming CP need to be kept in check by Congress, to avoid instigating a wipe that could set us back months, if not longer. I have been playing this game long enough to know that global domination comes and goes in cycles as the ebb and flow of the alliance powers waxes and wanes accordingly. If elected, I will be certain to ask the difficult questions, and press the current CP to use restraint before committing to any plans to re-take what is rightfully ours. I want our regions for months to come...not days.

eCanada, soon you will go to the polls and decide on a governing body for the next 30 days. This same body will be charged with the responsibility of keeping the current sitting CP in check. Vote responsibly...Vote for the Canadian Progressive Front

Yours In National Unity,
