[CP] Win 5 gold! And other stuff...

Day 1,729, 20:59 Published in Canada Canada by Jacobi

I know, I know. It’s a sensational title, but believe me I’d rather get to the point.

I have here with me, a link to a google doc. Ambassador Corps Sign Up Sheet

Simple. Of itself.

If you’re interested in being and ambassador, gaining some experience of government, and making a little cash on the side please apply today. I’d like to give preference to newer people who are not in Congress, but ultimately the Corps is run by its Secretary. Apply today!

The budget has been release😛 Here

There hasn’t been a lot of discussion on it, which I’m going to arbitrarily say is because it says that which we all suspect. As long as revenues are done, so to must government expenditures, and even then unless things improve more cuts will be needed in the following month. Now, the government is following through on a certain lead to getting us a bit more cash revenue, but its nothing that I’m going to pin my hopes on, and certainly it is no game changer. So for now, my goal is to change the MU funding rules to allow for 20% of funding to be saved for infrastructure improvements. At the end of the term we will ask MUs to tell us how much, if anything, they’ve saved for that purpose and we’ll see if it’s something worth continuing. I’ll propose some rules around that tomorrow in Congress and we’ll see where it goes.

I do believe the goal of self-sufficiency is a bit like chasing the white rabbit. The admins aren’t going to allow the game to continue if people beyond their premium gold mongers become self-sufficient, they’ll simply put another Q weapon or a new way to attack or allow for more fighting in a day or what have you to prevent it. I wouldn’t be too concerned that our MUs aren’t self-sufficient, even if we strive to be a bit more from time to time. And the government will never be able to afford to give enough to really make a large dent in self-sufficiency because that would imply either a highly ridiculous level of wealth distribution and that government is taking way too much in taxation, or that the admins haven’t made a change that pushes sufficiency out of reach (an unlikely proposition).
