[CP] The Morning After
eSouth African Presidency
So close. So very close.
We knew it would be, and that the odds were slightly against us, but a loss never goes down well. At least the Lions thrashed the Blue Bulls to make me feel a little better.
Thank you to Russia for extending our chances by releasing Limpopo when they did. Sorry Brazil ruined your NE, but that's just how they rola. At least you got a capital back in a home region out of it.
Thanks to our allies for stepping up. It was encouraging to see so many Polish, Serbian, and CUA flags up near the top. While I know it wasn't a 100% effort; we do understand that there were many simultaneous dramas playing out vying for attention. Someone had to draw the short straw and it was us. Such is life. Brazil and Chile fought like devils to spite us (you must get joy where you can) making its particularly challenging. Next time.
On the bright side: it cannot get worse and there's only going up. Congress is a nice to have goal, not the be all and end all. So let's shrug it off, and keep building on our achievements. They are there as we carve out a new niche in the world. We also still have a trick or two up our sleeves. First we need to get our Emergency Congress running on forums and then we are set up to make some choices.
Oh, before I forget, just in case the message is not yet clear, Brazil -- we do not want you in South Africa.
Amandla, Awethu. Power to the people.

I miss my eSA friends. This moment is sad for me 🙁
friends?
Yes, I have great friends in your country.
Great friends don't drop bombs on each-other...
gl next time and Miyagiyoda dont take it so seriously
We're a country of 311 people with a very low income.
I can fully appreciate how sidesplittingly funny it is to deny us 40G from Congress, access to our 6,000 cc tax income and the little National Shield Gold we did get (we had tough goals because our new players all leave in frustration). With a birth rate of 1 per day, you can see how hilarious it is for us when you kill new players. No Congress is inconvenient. Its the fight for the survival and growth of a tiny country that's the annoying bit.
After all, what is more fun than mocking the poor and stealing the wheels off wheelchairs? You guy just crack me up with your crazy humour.
Traitors will be executed

Too close indeed, only ~48 minutes.
If only CUA had focused on getting you congress instead of letting us have it so they can conquer it later, right?
I don't understand your rhetorical question. Perhaps you need to read paragraph 3 again or is your point bigger than anything I already stated? Say what do you mean man!
Let me just write it very clearly then, so I can quote myself in a few weeks... even tough I know you are not that naive and anyone looking at the map can see it:
CUA's plan was counting on you not having congress and they played it marvelously. Uruguay (which is run by RL argentinians) could not attack you directly because Argentina renewed the MPP to add yet another front against Brazil; With South Africa under Brazilian domain, they can attack all your regions, keep it for them, and still pose as the "good guys only trying to help".
If this happens, then we will deal with it. Argentina and eSA used to be bro. Then we grew apart. They are helping us now. If they overcome us. Then we will fight them too!
nW0lf, here's an article addressing your concerns. http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/destiny-forged-in-blood-2311019/1/20
We have no illusions that CUA is three and not ESA CUA.
From the number of Chileans and mercs units fighting resulting in a solid D3 and D4 performance; I think blaming abandonment a little disingenuous. You really shouldn't be so dismissive of your effort.
The entire campaign became tenuous for South Africa when we failed to start NC RW on time and then lost it as a result. We then were annoyingly unable to turn one campaign which would have resulted in us having 3 regions instead of the planned 4. As mentioned, we are aware of the circumstances scattering allied support. The high Greek and Pakistan CO prices did us no favours near the end either -- I can't blame them, but its definitely put flies n our ointment.
I think we'll stick to dealing with facts instead of wish fulfillment. The are far more interesting and less speculative.
But what fun is the game without a little speculation 😉
Speculation is not useful when it come to diplomacy.
Propaganda pour forth as much as you wish, but the cool aid never drink. None as big a fool is as who own lies believes. Hrm.

We are a small country yet we fight. I live the spirit!
o7 Mr President!
Ready for the next battle.

We like being surrounded, then we can fire in any direction!
SNAFU only says this because that's the only way he fights...
Make that random directions and I'll agree.

Friendly fire only eliminates people who get in the way.
