[CP] The middle bit.

National Shield Tournament
South Africa is making good progress. I ask all South Africans to step it up. Every point of damage you do is keeping us on the map and helping beat Brazil back.

A way to increase your personal damage is to fight in Guerrilla Wars. Even if you lose the match, you will still earn damage equal to 10 fights with no weapons used. A victory is double that damage. If you have the time, fight smart and surprise yourself.

Government
South Africa has established a Parliament on the eRepublik Plus forum until a new Congress is elected on the 25th. The National Assembly is forever. The National Assembly is the place for all South Africans to have a voice in government and is improved by wide participation. Drop in and enrich our democracy. You are the whip that drives our government.

Finances
I will be presenting a budget in the next day or two.

The Russian Treaty has been extended for August and the first payments received. While everyone in government understands that the rental is not ideal it provides benefits that are useful right now. We will continue to improve the deal until its time for South Africa is done.

Congress have had a discussion and vote on the path we will take with this new tax that incorporates manager work. In-game changes can only be made on the 26th once a new Congress is elected.

War is expensive. Our allies cannot be available at all times as the New World burns. For those tougher times we throw incentives onto the battle field. Technically, we could win every single battle by throwing enough money at it, but this is not prudent. We will keep funding key results and take the knocks with the knowledge that no real harm is done.

The National Shield Tournament also gives the country Gold as a reward the better we meet our goals. The Gold will go to balancing the budget, and depending on the surplus, shared back to South Africa. The more South Africa gets the more you get.

See you in the trenches.

Amandla, Awethu. Power to the people.
