[CP] The Decision
Callumh123
Welcome eAustralia, this article will make up one of two articles I will be releasing. The other one will come as a private citizen. This article will be the exposition of a prominent member of the community multing.
Today I need to talk to you about what has been happening within the Resistance Group. There has been many arguments on what we should do, I was not mandated on any course of action and decided to leave the big question to Resistance group made up of Cabinet Members, PP’s, MU Leaders, Prominent Senate Members and Citizens.
A vote was held yesterday that had two options; Resistance or Diplomacy. I made a vow to myself that if that Diplomacy option got up I would become a passive member in these discussions but I would support which ever course of action was taken, regardless.
I am utterly against appeasement, and fundamentally it is wrong. The way this country has always run is to stand up to the bully, no matter the circumstances.
There are not many left from the days of eIndonesian PTO or "Angel and Demon". But I remember it well, we were PTO'd for almost a year but we finally succeeded. These "people" stole our country, and we fought diligently, but valiantly as well.
I do not believe this new group is any different, besides they have gone for friendship earlier than the eIndonesian did.
Many in our ranks want diplomacy, which is fine and people have different approaches to things. However I feel there are sections who believe they stand to benefit much more than the average eAustralians and that has me unsettled.
But the vote was held, and Diplomacy did get up. I am someone true to my word and I will see to it that this option is made and to help those who will negotiate.
I will not undermine the decision, but I refuse to be actively involved with those who seek appeasement. There are also others who stood for resistance and I believe they have made the right choice in fighting for our country.

Looking you guys
And someone is ready for their reach around😁
I'm lost. Is that a statement of resignation owing a cabinet choice to negotiate with the Dick in Chief?
Bluntly, yes. I made a promise and I intend to keep it.
He made a promise: To be useless if he didn't get his own way...
Basically anyway..
Blunt is my specialty...
And, um. Wow. More to come after thinking on it, I think.
I see what you did there.
It sounds like a case of kindergarten fisty cuffs... if you have multi issues, report them, dont cry to the media. Your the CP, you should be able to handle things in the proper fashion, even if it annoys the f out of you all goes against your grain. Your acting as the head of a country, not someone who has had a vote go against them so your taking your bat and ball and going home.
It's more a betrayal of the people than anything with the article. I've made my position clear. I am giving you, the Resistance, the chance of negotiation without a CP that does not wish it.
If the situation changes then I am happy to take charge. I'd rather not be a hindrance to the process. I promised that I would not appease the group, and I intend on keeping that promise.
Your the CP, your in charge of the country. You might not agree with what the country wants, but your the representative of the people, not of your own wishes. If your complaining or not wanting to do it, because the vote goes against you, your basically saying it is your way or no way... just what a dictator says. Cal, I stepped down when RL threw me a bad hand, I knew you would end up in power. I have faith in you, but you need to act like a rep of the people and not someone who has had a vote go against them
Whats funny is...these articles are being read by the same people who are already in the tread. eAUS active population of 5 isnt really worth the article lol
So sad that we don't want to resist.
resistance is still an option. It is easy to resist if negotiations fail, but not the other way around.
For the majority of those that voted for diplomacy, I happen to know that it is not that we do not WANT to resist, it is that we don't see it as feasible.
For the record I actually voted for resistance, as that is what the CP (clearly) stated was his opinion. And I am sure there would be some way to see that on the forums if anyone cares.
Something I would like to add is that I will be organising the person who will lead negotiations with the group. It is now up to him and the group to decide what should such arrangements be.
Really bro... "I will be organising" 😑,
He made this comment AFTER he mentioned in passing who he would like to do it
I'm aware of this, it is more procedure to make sure everyone has a say in the process.
it was a good decision on who though

So you're taking a cowardly route. Decisions are made that we sometimes don't like. But as I see it as the CP you should stand by the decision and work hard on it. Instead of this I don't like it so I'm going to run away from it.
It's like talking to a brick wall of stupidity. WHY have someone on board that could possibly hinder the process? Why not let willing people take charge?
You would also know all about running away.
Personally I dont care either way. This country's been occupied for as long as I've played and quite frankly have lost a great deal of interest in the game for this and several other reasons. Occupied, not occupied, pro'd, dictated...who really gives' a crap any way???
And yet the same people who made decisions for eREP back then are still making them today, and when i confronted you about it, i was the troll and bad guy?
I been around for a while now "trolling" eAUS but i still give a crap even tho i been excluded, alienated and labelled among you guys. But at the end of it all, i have never felt more accomplished on this game then right now seeing things unfold and being able to say "i told you so"
no, it's not the same people. in fact the key players are 100% different. that you say that indicates your lack of awareness of the Aussie landscape
You cant be serous? Just because we had a few new CP's does not mean shit when the same people from back then where whispering to them what to do.
I knew you was an idiot from before infin, but this naive? I bet your ancestors are rolling around in there graves right now.
name the names of people controlling the government (not that we have one)
Illdo you better, name one person over level 40 in eAus who has not been in government for less then 8 months in a year.
And how the hell did you end up a admin of a forum when you havent been active in eAus since i pulled out the rug under your power tripping ass last year? I just need to point at you to prove my case how old players want to control shit while failing to lift a finger
I understand your move and would do the same. No one can demand that you work against what you believe is the only right way.

Resistance is more fun...
Maybe I am the one eAussie that is sort of active but not involved in Government this month. Picked a good month to get out of it 🙂
So, I'm coming from a position of not seeing the debate here, and not knowing who was on which side. But I'm obviously aware of the arguments for and against each.
Anyways, Cal - I get you. It's ok to make a principled stand on something - basically turning the vote on capitulation vs. resistance into a vote of confidence. And having lost that you step down. Makes perfect sense.
For what it's worth I would have done the same - it's hardly the Australian way to roll over and have our tummy tickled but that's what we seem to be doing.
I'd like for someone on the capitulation/ appeasement side of things to explain how we are going to move forward then. Or should we just wait until Xanthu tells us what we think?
We're under a dictatorship... Who gives a shit about the majority wanting something? Get some balls and lead dammit.
Just because diplomacy was chosen, doesnt mean you dont prepare for war. Diplomacy is just another way of letting other people have things YOUR way. When you cant let them have it YOUR way, you go to war. War is a valid diplomatic option. You should prepare for Plan B. Let the fun begin.
Cal you had been elected, you have the right to do whatever you think is right for the Aus. Aussies love to play this democratic way of leading, which makes every decisions made 2-3 slower than other countries. Anyways if you guys want to get rid of the dictator let me know, so I can ask some favors from my side to bring a smaller countries influence on our side😉 3-4 billion probably could help a lot. Some tanks, some money( just to cover the loss of TP medal for every 100 mill).
I miss you 🙁
I'm here, and will be here for a while.
