[CP] Statement on the Bulgarian War

Day 4,104, 08:14 Published in Ireland Estonia by LarssonKaisa

Mo Chairde,

This morning I was woken up to the news that Bulgaria Declared War on Ireland. This came as quite a shock as we had not expected such actions. From speaking with the Bulgarian CP, I've been informed that this is a consequence of our nations organised strikes against his country.

From speaking to our Russian and French friends who have a stake in eIrish freedom, neither of them were informed in advance of the Bulgarian manoeuvre. Whilst neither were happy with the actions, neither were able to persuade Bulgaria to stand down. These actions will directly interfere with our Russian Training War Arrangements as well as France's Resource Concession Deal. We appreciate both of these countries support and attempts to rectify the situation.

Unfortunately, Bulgaria will not back down.

This is the second time in which an Asterian nation will have come to wipe us while Russia is in our cores. It will be the second time that they have not assisted us by blocking a wipe. While I understand their actions entirely, I can no longer justify having a nation within our island who will not assist us. Despite weeks of a successful Training War - I have asked Russia to leave.

We are going to war.

The outcome is unknown.

The battle will be uphill.

I do not wish to negotiate to our own detriment.

I do not want to see Ireland become a colony.

I do not want to see us serving the needs of three non-allied nations.

I do not want to sell out our pride.

I have hope we will be supported by our allies.

I believe we won't go down easily.

I believe that we are making the right choice.

Le meas,

Slua
