[CP]New year - New term

Day 2,239, 11:39 Published in Japan Denmark by Kitarou

Citizens of eJapan!

Thank you for once again have entrusted me and my cabinet into leading this nation.
This month I am going to focus more on internal affairs, finance, military and cultural events. From this day on your president will be more available and visible to the public than last term.
A new year and a new term has begun, it is an honor to present some of the matters we are going to work with during January. That said, we would very much like to continue negotations with eRoC as we would like to see our long time conflict come to an end.

Cabinet for January 2014:

I had expected some issues to come up from my own past experiences, but difficulties with the cabinet proved even more troubling this month than normal. I understand that this is the holiday season and many players had their own real life preparations to attend to, but in such cases a leave of absence should be requested, as was done in one case. There is good news though. The active section of my cabinet was able to take on the responsibilities of many of the inactive ministries.

Vice President: Masaharu Homma

Minister of Defence: Squibeel and Lucifel

Minister of Finance: Sensha

Minister of Foreign Affairs: Masaharu Homma

Minister of Internal Affairs: William of Edenbury

Minister of Security: 2.D.G

Minister of Culture and History: Nobunaga Sensei and Yagami Mii

Ministry of Defense

In the National Survey a large percentage of respondents asked that the communications systems be enlarged. During the last term we experimented with a mass messaging system to get orders directly to the officers of the various eJapanese Military Units. Alongside the system was a "messenger" concept in which a government official could move between MUs and place orders directly in their feeds.

I would like to continue these systems now that they have been tested and proven to be useful. In combination with the daily orders articles these communications techniques can ensure that everyone has access to orders with the higher levels of command getting them even more quickly than used to be the case.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs
I am not going to sugar coat it. We are in a bad position internationally. Our Minister of Foreign Affairs has been making great strides, but our reputation on the international stage is still in a bad position and will take time to repair. This is due to combination of past inactive governments, inconsistent policy changes, and the complicated nature of relations now that CoT is dead and TWO's internal struggles are spilling over into the rest of the international community.

We have better relations now than we did at the start of my term with many nations, but one month has simply not been enough time to do much more than mitigate past damage. In the future I would like to build on our current work and get allies that not only we can count on, but that can count on us as well.

Ministry of Culture and History
An exciting set of roleplay events and reforms have been in the works from this Ministry as some of you have already seen with our experimental Family Registration system. What I would like to do with the MoCH should not be a big surprise then. I want to allow the reforms and roleplay concepts to be completed and put into action. Our nation needs more excitement and something to look forward to beyond endless wars and eRep's weekly competitions.

The current concepts being produced by the MoCH of course include the Family registration that is being tested right now, but I have also been shown several pages of documents covering many other concepts. Some of these documents included a functional Daimyo system, a large new set of cultural titles for exceptional players, and an additional "Battle" system to be attached with the Daimyo and families systems depending on player feedback.

Ministry of Internal Affairs
Following what has been assigned to the MoIA this term, I would like them to continue to assist the MoCH in the creation and implementation of the reolplay concepts. Additionally, this Ministry has proven a useful tool in covering for other Ministries that were either overburdened with their workload or lacked an active minister. This is because the MoIA has a rather large and unstrictly defined mandate that allows them to deal with pretty much any matter occurring within the nation.

Ministry of Education
The Ministry of Education will be given the primary mission to continue with the Japanese language lessons that were so well received this term. For those wondering why they slowed down and stopped for a while, the cabinet has been recently working to try to finish several matters before the change of term so were unable to devote time to them. The articles require a bit of research and debate before they are released to ensure they are both as correct as possible and can be understood by students with no previous experience with the Japanese language. As such it takes a group of people a couple days to create them the way we are doing.

Let us do out bests again!!

Ten Thousand Years!

Signed

Kitarou Yuki
President of eJapan
