[CP] Final Article

Day 1,506, 10:01 Published in Philippines Norway by Sigurd Aasen

Tomorrow is the January Presidential elections, which means this is my last couple of days as President, which means I'll have to clear off my desk and vacate the Presidential palace.

Easier said than done, it seems...

First of all, a review of what happened in the last week. As noted in my last article, Malaysia had been wiped by eSingapore; and as a result, we NE'd eSingapore to defend eMalaysia's honour. Immediately attacking Sabah, we quickly ran out of resources and weapons and so lost the battle and then lost Palawan in the next campaign. A bad turn of events and it looked like we could be wiped. However, some great work from some good friends and my amazing and spectacular cabinet gained us some vital MPPs with some larger countries and due to their immense help we managed to successfully defend Visayas and then retook Palawan. We could not have done it without our great friends and allies, and to you I extend my most sincere gratitude. Thank you all.

Best of friends

In other news, in a move which largely went unnoticed while the events were ongoing, the regions of Luzon and Mindanao were conquered by our resistance force. I have been in contact with a Chinese representative and he has informed me that they do not wish to retake Luzon from us. I have not contacted the Indonesian government, but as they had not honoured our agreed rent deal and failed to pay the rent for the region and their ongoing wars, I doubt they can have little to complain about and I believe Mindanao will remain in our possession for the foreseeable future and we find ourselves united and independent for the first time in months.

I believe that in the last month a great deal has been achieved and we, as a country, can be proud of what we have achieved. As a government, we have made many decisions which have benefited the country. Going into the month one of the largest problems was the lack of raw materials on the market. To combat this, it was suggested we lower raw material imports to 1%, but also to make sure the government did not make a loss by increasing VAT to 15%. We now find a larger amount of raw materials on the market than the sparse amount that was previously seen. In Foreign Affairs we have made great strides in the last month. Way back at the beginning of the month, the Armed Forces of the Philippines was reformed and restructured so that new players would benefit greater from the organisation. We also increased our relations abroad and managed to forge new friendships and allies around the world, which was mainly due to connections of members of my cabinet members, many of whom have been citizens in various countries around the world. These connections ultimately saved us in face of extermination. Without such an amazing cabinet I doubt we would have achieved so much of what we did this month, and so I say thank you all. It was a pleasure working with you this month.

My Presidential term will, however, be mainly remembered for my creative article titles.

To the people of the Philippines, I thank you for allowing me this chance to serve you as your President. I hope I did not disappoint you over the month I have been President. I always tried to do my best, and thanks to the excellent people around me, a great deal was achieved. Tomorrow you shall go to the polls and vote for either of the excellent candidates, Jelly9473 and Daniel Samarin....oh, and not forgetting the immense Coco the Killa. I wish best of luck to all three of you.

And remember ePhilippines; stay hungry, stay free and do the best you can!
Thank you all
