[CP] An Update

Day 3,215, 14:28 Published in Ireland Ireland by King Trito Fisher

Citizens of the Republic,
Your government has been quite active the past four days! We've formed an executive council of 10 cabinet members, and Advisory Council made up of elected congressmen, and we have finally negotiated the Training War with New Zealand properly so that soldiers on both sides know what is going on. Also, I have created a "hotline" thread with my VP, IBhoy, so that if any decision needs to be taken quickly, it will be taken quickly!
There have been a LOT of deliberations going on in the Executive thread on a variety of issues including:
Taxes
Future Military Operations
Geopolitics
and the Politics of the Republic,

and I would like to keep everyone up to date.
For this month, we will probably stick to the training war, but if we need to urgently help our allies, we will do so willingly, with either the Minister of Foreign Affairs or the Minister of Defense publishing an article informing our citizens of any changes.
Regarding taxes, we've lowered the import taxes for both food and weapons to 1% to encourage foreign sellers to expand into our markets and also because they weren't creating any income anyways.
I have been talking with the newly elected CP's or MoFA's from several countries and I hope that we will improve relations with allies and gain intelligence on our enemies this month. We WILL keep Ireland secure!
On Politics:
There have been several disgruntled voices of discontent regarding my "change" in the politics of the Republic. People have said that I have "scrapped" the Dublin Commune, but I hope that everyone understands that I only wanted to simplify the matter. IN any case, we will work on a solution that I hope will satisfy everyone and ensure that everyone in our Republic has a voice.
Regarding the ILP:
I hope that during PP elections on the 15th (there are currently 0 candidates in the ILP) someone in that party will have the courage to step up and take the lead besides WHS. It seems that some people have begun to align their view of the ILP with their view of WHS, and this is wrong, I have also made this mistake sometimes, especially when Winston trolls my articles; however, the ILP is a party of 19 people, 18 of which are probably willing to at least be SOMEWHAT cooperative 🙂 Opposition to the current government is both natural and needed, however, incendiary rhetoric about "destroying" the current gov. is UNACCEPTABLE.

On that note 🙂, starting the the 15th of September, the ILP elected congressmen will also have a seat on the Advisory Council.

Thank you,
Trito
