Day 2,209, 06:48 Published in Japan Denmark by Kitarou

Citizens of eJapan!

Thank you!

I cannot thank you all enough for electing me and my team for this delicate task of leading our great nation. I am humbled by the trust that you've all given me by voting for me this election. I also want to thank those who did not vote for me, for your votes contribute to maintaining a democratic society. I hope I'll be able to gain your trust come this term.

I would also like to thank Aryzn for the promotion articles that he has written about me - you really did a great job! (Disclaimer: No lolies were hurt or sexually harassed (you can't prove anything anyway!) during the makings of the article.)

Political background

For those who don't know me well I'd like to start with formally introducing myself and shortly speaking about my background within eJapanese politics.

In my early days I started out as an ambassador to the nations of eNorway and eCzech Republic. This position left me with many new friends and allowed for me to establish a good relationship between the nations of eJapan, eNorway and eCzech Republic.

A year and a half later the former Emperor Kokawayoshi Makoto had decided to grand me the party president position of the 'Kageki Minshutou (KMT)' party, which was at the time the largest and most active of political parties in the nation of eJapan. It was in KMT that I became a congressman and received personal guidance by Kita Ikki, at the time a well-respected congressman who had been country president on numerous occasions.

After some time I joined the 'Democratic Party of Japan', a relatively small party which was at that time lead by Minamoto Rika - she is still the party president today! I served as party president for a total of 8 terms before I decided to step out.

I then joined the newly reformed 'SOS Brigade', lead by Oraizan, who appointed me as the spokesman for the party. It was then when I received the honour of my first cabinet position as the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs. I continued my Foreign Affairs and was granted the position of Minister. During these two terms of being Minister I served as the lead negotiator during the eJapanese-eTaiwanese war, in which we worked towards having our regions returned to us.

It was after the last term of being the Minister of Foreign Affairs that I had decided to candidate myself for the position of country president, with great success as today I speak to you all as the new country president for the term of December.

I have been selected for country presidency in busy times for the nation of eJapan. We still face the struggle of having our regions returned to us, and with the continuing occupation of these same regions we have had very little revenue as taxes have been minimal. There's a lot of work to be done, which I will be working on with the other cabinet members. Although the names of the cabinet members are public knowledge, I'd like to take the time to formally introduce them and explain my motivation towards selecting them for cabinet.

eJapanese Cabinet

Minister of Defense Squibeel. An experienced politician who has held many cabinet positions, including two times country president, in the nation of eJapan. This man is tough, intelligent and dangerous at the same time. He is a very well respected citizen in the nation of eJapan but also abroad by politicians and country presidents across eRepublik. He also happens to be my eDad, however he'll not be able to slack off during this December term!

Minister of Foreign Affairs Masaharu Homma. Fairly new in eJapanese politics, however has the potential to make it big one day. This guy is a pure champion! He frequently approached me on IRC during my second term as Minister of Foreign Affairs, asking for information and answers in regards to the status of our nation - understandable with a non-transparent government. Masaharu popped up out of nowhere and has been of great help during this election. I chose him as I see great potential flowing in him.

Minister of Communications ahava3233. Current party president of 'Shinsengumi'. Stubborn (in the good way!) and lovely at the same time - a brilliant leader! I chose her as Minister of Communications as she is brilliant at writing detailed articles (does so on a frequent basis) and is especially suited for this task!

Minister of Internal Affairs William of Edenbury. Current party president of 'United Lolies Party'. A very trustworthy and helpful individual. This guy knows what it takes to run Internal Affairs and has done so in the past on numerous occasions.

Minister of Finances tarasino. Financial genius. tarasino is the one that makes sure that our money will not be wasted. Managing our budget is a very important role and he has proven worthy of this position many times in the past. I have great trust in his ability for this position.

Minister of Security and Education Kantaaa. Former country president of eJapan. Before serving as country president last month, Kantaaa did a great job as the Minister of Security and made sure that no-one entered our nation with the wrong intentions. He will once more hold this position as well as being the Minister of Education, a position that he had personally requested from me. He will be teaching us about anything that may be upcoming in eRepublik.

Minister of Culture and History DankChronic. Current vice president of the 'Imperial Sun Party'. In my eyes, DankChronic has always been in charge of the Ministry of Culture and History and I saw no need for him to be replaced. He will be busy with the writing and publishing of articles on Japanese traditions and pop-culture.

Advisor 2.D.G. Will function as my "stress ball" and advisor and will not have any direct influence on my program and politics. He also happens to be my second adopted eSon!

Bodyguard Minamoto Rika (known as Velvet on IRC). Current party president of the 'Democratic Party of Japan' - a party which I led a few years back. Always happy, cheerful beauty that brings up everyone's spirits when present in IRC. She will function as my bodyguard. When she is near, you'll think twice about assassinating me!

For those who are not familiar with my program and plans for my term as country president for the month of December I'd like to refer you to my previous article which can be found in this article.

I will continue to publish articles on a frequent basis to keep all citizens of eJapan informed of developments within our great nation. If you have any questions and/or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Signed,

Kitarou Yuki
President of eJapan
