[CP-7] WestJet Rewards / First Week Report

Day 4,040, 18:19 Published in Canada Canada by NerfMinions

Once again, my deepest apologies, but I have an incredibly nasty calculus test to study for and will not have the time to be doing the translation work necessary to translate this one into French.

Hello, eCanada! It's hard to believe that we're already a week into my term. Together, with a very competent team, we have managed to accomplish a whole ton during this first week to better the lives of all eCanadians, from coast to coast to coast.

This article will just be a quick recap of our first week in term, followed by the introduction of the new air training program our government is launching, to be known as WestJet Rewards. If you are simply here for the free money, please scroll to the bottom for the details on the program.

We have successfully extended our MPP with our Orion allies in the Netherlands. Their presence on the battlefield will be welcome.

We are currently in the process of renegotiating the MPP with Cuba. The MPP should be approved in less than 24 hours. Their presence on the battlefield will be welcome.

Macedonia successfully carried out their airstrike on Canada a few days ago. They will be staying in Canada for a short duration of time. Canada stands strong with her Asterian allies and is ready to lend her cooperation whenever necessary.

For eCanadians who are interested, you can access our country's financial records at this link: Click Me! Our administration is one that strongly believes in transparency. This is just one of the many ways in which much of the information used by government is made available to citizens who may be interested in it.

In other news, our Minister of Defense, Lawkee, has decided to take a temporary eVacation to Australia. He has agreed to continue his duties advising the Canadian government; however, we will be filling the post with a suitable candidate in the near future.

Welcome to all eCanadians! I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to the Government's new initiative - a Canadian Air Training Program, to be branded as WestJet Rewards! The naming capabilities ultimately fell to me, and as I prefer WestJet to Air Canada (the other option we considered was Air Canada Rewards), ultimately, that was the name that I went with.

This program is designed to incentivize mid-level players to participate in aerial combat in the hopes of strengthening Canada's aerial capabilities in battle. The government will provide the funding for a trial program to run for the remaining duration of my presidency, at which point the next administration can gauge the value of the program and make a decision on whether to continue it or scrap it.

Frequent flyers in the WestJet Rewards program will be eligible for cash incentives from the government. After some deliberation, the pool of money to be made available to this program was set at 25,000 CC with an additional 1,000 CC to be added for each participant in the program. So, for example, if 15 people sign up for the program, the size of the pool will be 40,000 CC.

On Mondays, at the end of the week, I will tally up each participant's aerial kills. The total percentage of kills they hold out of everyone in the program will be the percent of the pool that they receive. In the previous example, the size of the pool was 40,000 CC. If the 15 players in the program deal a combined 1000 kills, and 100 of those are mine, I will receive 4,000 CC, or 10% of the pool, which is my share of the kills.

Furthermore, I will also record each participant's air rank each week. If a participant levels up during the week, they will receive a extra 500 CC grant from the government as a reward for each level they rank up during that week. Ultimately, we trust that Canadians know best what they need to purchase; whether it be food, weapons, or gold for training grounds upgrades, etc.

This program is ONLY open to eCanadians who are at the rank of Aviator or above and Wing Commander [5*] or below. The earlier levels are too easy to level up at, and the assumption is that higher-level players will be able to purchase and afford weaponry and food. However, if there is popular demand for doing so, we will examine the feasibility of expanding the program.

The dates for grants will be: December 17, 24 and 31.

The application form is here: Click Me! Please read the details carefully to ensure that your application is accepted. You will receive a message when your application is accepted, or rejected.

PLAYERS WISHING TO RECEIVE GRANTS ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2018 MUST HAVE APPLICATIONS IN BY SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2018.
