[Country President] New Resources for eNigeria

Day 2,632, 16:36 Published in Nigeria Germany by Kalif Batan

Dear fellow eNigerians,

I am sure you noticed that the admins decided to mix up the game a bit and gave the players (mostly the CPs) the chance, to change the resources of their countries regions, during the event Resource Wars.

In one of my last articles, I told you about our strategy to get tokens through a war and RWs with Chile. Also, I asked you to fight in the right battles, to help us acchieve our goals fast enough, to get the wished resources for eNigeria. And today I can tell you, that everything went really good for our country! We managed to find a good strategy for our special situation and we could get exactly the needed resources in the right regions!

What was the strategy?
As you all know, eNigeria is a really small country. In fact, we are currently the country with the fewest citizens. Because of this fact, we will always have the problem, that a bigger country could take our regions for resource reasons. Considering this, we needed to make our regions unattractive for occupiers. Of course there could be other reasons to occupy us, but that is nothing that I could influence with the arrangement of resources.

The strategy is quite complicated to explain without a map, so I asked MRSA SPB to draw one for me:

Note: the written information on the right about which region could belong to which country, would be the ideal situation for us. There can and most of the time there will be reasons, that the region distribution is different, for example our PTO threat by Juve Leo.

As you can see, there are only two Nigerian regions that have borders to other countries. These are South South States (SSS) and South West States (SWS). That is a great tactical advantage for us. With the shown distribution of resources, one occupier would always just need the three southern regions SSS, SWS and Southern East States (SES), because Iron and Fruits are doubled in the northern regions and fish is already in the capital of every country.

Also, if there are two occupying countries, it is not possible for both of them to take fruits and iron. They would always destroy the trade route of the other one.

If we look at the different resources that we wanted to get, we can notice that they are really common in the world of eRepublik:

With that selection of common resources we wanted to be sure, that we have enough time to get enough tokens to get the wanted ones. Otherwise this whole strategy wouldn't have worked. Additionally, those common resources are very good in making our regions unattractive for countries that are seeking more bonusses, for example by airstrike, because they could find them everywhere.

What is the outcome of the event for eNigeria?

Let us take a look on our new resources:

Everything went exactly as planned! We managed to get exactly the right resources for the right regions if you compare it with our strategy above!

If we take a look on the core regions of our natural neighbours and occupying countries, we can see the following:
- Brazil could need iron, fruits and grain from us
- Argentina could need fruits and grain from us
- South Africa needs nothing from us
- Chile could need iron, fruits and grain from us

That seems like a lot, but as stated above, all these needed resources are in our three southern regions and if one has them our borders to the other countries are blocked. Just one flaw occure😛 Brazil could get southern iron and northern fruits, while Argentina doesn't need iron, so they could hold fruits and grain in the south. But compared to all those imponderabilities and different scenarios, that we needed to watch, this is just a minor problem.

I think, that this is quite a good result for our country! Of course we will never be completely safe, but this is surely another small step for more safety.

I want to thank everyone who told me their opinion about the Ressource Wars, so it was easier for me to decide. Special thanks go to MRSA SPB and Andreas Mihai who always were up to date and helped me decide in critical situations!

I want to write a short article tomorrow, to summarize my first term as you country president. So stay tuned for more!
