[CDV-NZ] CONGRESS - VOTE NO on THESE PROPOSALS
Carr De Vaux
Dear friends and Congress members,
the Serbian party, led by Don Kronox, the current VP, has decided to unilaterally push through a slew of tax reforms. The Congress and the government were given 18 hours before the slew of proposals started to flood in. The Serbs, like many famous militia group, is very organised, and they got the first law passed.
As of today, Your food is 24% more expensive to import and 9% more expensive to purchase .
If the Congress and its Speaker don't get their heads out of their sandpit, soon,
1. Grain will be more expensive to produce, because of the high 25% income tax. I just lost my job today in a Grain company because the investor gave up on at sight of this stupid tax rate.
2. Moving tickets will cost 4% more. No more mobile fighting in Indonesia i guess...
3. More expensive rifles or Air units and Artillery 9% import + 3% more VAT [/url]
11 Serbians have voted for all the proposals (since 7 or so have left the country). The remaining pro-Free Trade, pro democracy congress members ....
Do your JOB now! VOTE NO!
Yours,
Carr de Vaux
Congress Member of Wellington

Vote No to unilateral tax reforms!
Vote NO to higher Taxes!
Vote No to economics meltdown!
Vote No for FREEDOM!
voted, for financial justice!
Voted for lower taxes!
I've seen non-Serbs endorsing it also. I personally don't agree, because the people who endorsed it are the higher-ups who have plenty of money to spend on food, whereas most of the country probably doesn't, really.
Vote No for FREEDOM! ?????
vote.
NO for arbitrary tax
Taxes do not need to be that high. We just made our first budget and were comfortable with that money. Vote NO on high taxes.
I personally don't see this as armageddon. The import tax that is proposed is not exhorbitant and the VAT is not onerous. I'm not saying it's great or I agree with it, but it's not going to bring New Zealand to the ground. It's a common strategy to take down legislation you don't agree with and I believe it leads to serious partisanship when we should be striving for cooperation.
I would respect an argument more if it delved into the issue and showed clear, unbiased information demonstrating the value of a lower VAT and import tax.
There are quite a few citizens who do not subscribe to the free trade philosophy, myself included. I only support low import tax as a temporary measure to encourage imports while we are unable to provide for ourselves.
I think the only issue here is a lack of debate and communication with the public at large on what the plans are. Uniltateral taxation systems require significant forethought and this is the first I have heard of it (the only proposals I see by default are those free MPPs and I would have to flip to the front to see current laws being proposed).
vote for CDV
Certain people either badly misunderstand how economics work, or else are either trying to hijack the economy for their own gain, or are trying to destroy it outright.
CDV has the right idea.
Gaius, me 2. LoL. i need to go to the admin page everyday to see whether the serbs have made anyting new.
If there are 11 Serbs, how can it all be the Serb's fault for 'unilaterally' passing legislation requiring a majority? Surely some mistake...

17 YES > 11 Serbs
CDV - I was your employer!
The company closure was decided before this new tax regime was implemented, the old rate was enough to make overseas purchases effective.
Alfa - how could you sack me!! 🙁((
