[Brodie] - Where do I go from here?
mr. brodie
Hello my fellow cadets.
As some of you have noticed, there has been certain contracts being made which some aren't that ecstatic about. Myself being one of them. I'm not going in to the details right now though.
I've tried to negotiate, I've tried to defend democracy, I've stuck my neck out disagree with my “superiors”, but to no avail.
So I had a few options from here, I could either throw in the tall, change parties and possibly become politically inactive. I could ignore the issue entirely and wait for the issue to pass.
Or I could stand up against it, not by making a huge shit throwing fest, but by putting across my views in the best way possible. I can do more for the good of this country inside the party, than at the side lines throwing in arguments. Actions speak louder than words my friend.
These Party Elections should be a blast. I've not been that involved with politics for a long time, but back in the day, it was rather enjoyable. Hopefully by at least putting my self forward, the party will see the some are unhappy. Although one of the main reasons I'm running is because of the latest issues, it's also competition based. As long as a candidate wins who I can agree with and who listens, I shall be happy.
It's time TUP upped its game, its time we work for a good election result rather than throwing away our current progress. I wish luck to all the candidates that are running, lets make people work for positions in the party.
This is going to be one exciting election.

I agree with Brodie's points, and as many of you may already know I will also be running for TUP PP.
Agreed. I too have disagreements with the coalition and have been struggling to decide what I should do about it. I'm glad to see I'm not alone and there might yet be hope for change in the party.
Best of luck to all future candidates in the party elections. I'm sure this is going to be an interesting one.
The thing is even if someone who disagrees with the coalition comes to be PP of TUP there is still no way to break the contract without paying 200g. TUP party elections are gonna be damned interesting
I thought there was a clause where if a candidate could not be found who pleased both sides the contract would be made null and void. Surely whoever comes in as PP can just turn any candidate down?
Good luck trying to make somebody pay 200G.
Erm.....I can say it from right now that if I get elected, I will symbolically tear up the contract and refuse to pay the 200 G. Coalitions and contracts do not mix in my opinion.
Voted.
And subscribed.
And if Squiddy gets voted out, then the contract is null IMO. Squiddy made the contract WITHOUT the consent of his party, that to me means that it wasn't a party choice.
This could be the best party election ever.
The coalition has certainly charged it up, and the three main candidates are very evenly matched.
Should be interesting...
Plus, we get to see a bit of democracy for once 😛
