Dear Belgian People…


Belgium, what a country !

INTRODUCTION

As you could have noticed, I will be candidate for presidential nomination during the next elections, within two days.

There will be four candidates for the job and they are very strong opponents, so it would be a very interesting poll, maybe the closest for several months.

I use to make articles that aren’t too big, so my manifesto wants to be as concise and clear as possible: no useless blablabla and no promise I could not do !

Although I readily admit that I am far from being the most gifted politician of our Nation, I would sincerely be a unifying and rallying president who makes teamwork his primary concern, assembling an effective and dedicated team for Belgium.

I wish you good reading and count on your wisdom to choose the candidate you think is the best for leading the country during the next weeks.

ABOUT MYSELF

Playing this game since the 630th day of the New World (the 11th of Augustus 2009), I was borned in Wallonia (where I come from in real life), when Belgium made an Union with the Netherlands. I was member of the Libertarian Social Democrats Party during this periode.

When Belgium won its independence, I was in the resistance against our foreign invaders. Once the country democratized, I joined the Belgium for Belgians Party and am still an active member of it.

Congressmember during 10 terms, ambassador in several foreign countries and taking part in the current Government, I try to be as active as I can on our Community and our forum, speaking only when I have something to say.

ABOUT THE CABINET

Our Government will be as close to Citizens as possible : no useless Ministry !

I have already found trustable people, who would like to get involved in the Cabinet and other would like to carry on with the good job they are doing.

Some place are still empty and everybody who thinks he/she could help the Nation could contact me : we would see together who we could use each goodwill of enthusiastic players.

I would appoint the executive ministers and and each of them could suggest the secretaries of state he/she would need.

The Vice-President will be in charge of all communications and each week, we would try to publish articles with the best informations about what has been done and what is still on the “to do list”.

Cause each link in the political chain is indispensable, I do hope People, Congress and Government would be able to work as a strong and effective team

Our main words in our actions will be duty, efficiency, loyalty and transparency.

ABOUT FOREIGN POLICIES

One of my favorite subjects, I would keep an eye on this department where I come from.

Thanks to his efforts and his activity, Belgium has established strong international relationships with some countries that we need to keep.

At the dawn of a new world with the emergence of new alliances, while the whole geopolitical international is being redrawn, I think it would be time for us to find our new and own place on the global and world chessboard.

That is why we would have to meet other countries for talking about potential emerging alliances and possible training wars we could establish.

ABOUT HOME AFFAIRS

It will have to prevent any PTO threat and to check every one who joins our Community or applies for the citizenship, as we have seen the last weeks that the threat always arises when you least expect it.

I would like to see this Ministry working in a very close cooperation with those of Defense and Foreign Affairs, because they are additional.

A new hability of it would be education and fun, it is a very important issue for keeping our players informed, active and amused. Without such a Ministry, Belgium would become a boring Country quickly… We need fun here !

ABOUT DEFENCE

I would like to see our Army involved in a real training war, that could allow us to train it better. It is also time to continue to restructure our forces to make them stronger and faster to deploy.

The Belgian Military Council has to be more useful and to call for more representatives.

With the Minister of Foreign Affairs, that project would be one of our most important.

ABOUT FINANCES AND ECONOMY

This Ministry would be responsible of Belgian finances, economy and state companies.

Our economy has known some troubles during the last months and it would be the duty of the Minister stabilize and maintain the current situation.

ABOUT JUSTICE

The Constitutional reforms must be finished as soon as possible and our legal basis need some improvements to be completed and relevant.

The Justice has yet to show its utility and we will try to bring it some work to do.

CONCLUSIONS

You have understood which would be the main goals of our Administration :

- Working as a team, with an intelligent cooperation at all levels of power ;
- Keeping everybody involved and informed ;
- Playing a more important international role ;
- Finding or creating a training war ;
- Updating all of our laws and legal bases.

I don’t want to sell you a cat in a bag, so my promise would be to work in the continuity for the Unity of our Country and to be the modest President of all the Belgians, wherever they come from.

I have so said everything you should know about my candidacy and what I would like to bring during the next term.

It’s now time to wish best of luck to my opponents: may the best win those elections and get the presidential chair for the best of the Belgian interests !
