Hello fellow eUKers!
I'm sure at least some of you will have heard of me, all the shenanigans I have got up to in the past, my name is Betafoxtrot and thank you for taking the time to read this. September will be quite the landmark month for me, as it will be the month to mark me playing eRepublik for two whole years. To mark the occasion, thanks to the United Kingdom Reform Party, I have decided to run for Country President of the United Kingdom. Since I have joined the game I've wondered if I'd ever make it to run for the position, and it's taken many months of hard work and some good fortune to get to where I am, writing this article. It's as good a time as any for me to run, and I'm looking forward to the elections on the 5th! I'd also like to announce my DPM for this month will be former Secretary General of PHOENIX, former CP of the eUK Frerk (contrary to what you believe about Woldy, and I'm looking at you Keers), he will do a great job and I'm pleased he's taken the position!
I have held many positions in both the eUK Military and Government, totaling 12 months in a Commanding Officer role, where I attained two Mention in Dispatches awards, a King's Commendation for Valuable Service award and a Distinguished Service Order. I have also been made Minister of Home Affairs a total of 6 times, during which I was awarded by the United Kingdom Honours Committee who appointed me a Member of the British Empire, including this month and one term which was in the turbulent crossover of eRepublik to v2.

So that's my announcement about running for Country President, and my experience listed. The manifesto's I'll publish over the next 5 days will start with Domestics & Economics and then a Foreign Affair & Military one, finishing on the 5th with my potential cabinet. Beta, Dan didn't get a great deal of support from UKRP this term as far as I can tell - Dish vanished as soon as there was a hint of invasion, frerk vanished for two weeks while he was supposed to be speaker and your PP had to quit with internet trouble. As a result, nothing particularly good happened all term. I'm not attacking UKRP here, everyone gets RL stuff that is more important to deal with than the game, but I doubt you have the support that a CP needs and I doubt you'll get anywhere like the support that Dan did.
Your own reputation, whether deserved or not, isn't good enough. You sure as hell won't get support from outside your party, I doubt you have the full support of your own party. The key people who make the country tick; few of them support you. When the shit hits the fan, you'll be on your own and I don't think anyone could cope nevermind yourself.
You seem to have had a good time in MoHA this term and had a good team around you. If I were in your boots I'd capitalise on that and continue to build a team around you that you know you can trust before thinking of running for CP again.
