There is no such thing as the end of time. It is a romantic idea, that one day everything will simply ‘stop’, in a singular, cataclysmic event. There would be a beauty to everyone forgetting their differences, consigning themselves to fate and embracing the warmth of inevitability.
But that is not how the world works. There will be no end, just gradual decay. What an ugly way to go! No symmetry, no sentiment, no resolution.
It is with great pleasure, then, that I present our nation with an alternative. We will not wait for the end of the New World to say our goodbyes. We will not wait for eRepublik to go bankrupt or for the servers to break. We will not even wait for the end of all things. Let us end Ireland in a blaze of glory! Let us resolve our story, with a beginning, a middle and an end. Let us defy the inevitable, and wave our dicks in the faces of the cybergods. This is what the BCH is offering Irelan
😛An end - and what an end.
The 5 horsemen of your apocalypse gained an incredible victory in Irish congress on the 25th. 100% of our candidates in! After a single month, the BCH are already the 5th biggest party in Ireland. The public adore us, simply put. We candidated ourselves last minute and were not blocked. We voted last minute and were not defeated. In every single facet of election co-ordination, we won. There is no fault to be pinned on anyone – we, the heroes of this story, are good at what we do.
Is there hope for those who oppose our noble cause? Simply put: no. Romania hate Ireland. Historic allies and key cogs in EDEN, they do not even see us as worthy of an MPP. Our unelected dictator, Ariovistus, accepted comprehensive defeat to us in his most recent article. Most of the Irish population have either accepted Bremen superiority, left the country, or are holding onto the slim hope that help will come.
The coming month will hopefully see a flood of Croatian PTO voters. This will be, for me, the ultimate victory – and the real beginning of the end. The evil Irish resistance want to bring in a horde of Croatians to stop the BCH mission. Just imagine – Ireland as a Croatian colony. All those forigs, all those terrible people. The Rapture will be wonderful to watch.

As a eCanadian, eIreland is my ally but I'm begining to think this is a good lesson on how not to and why you don't bring your RL bias into a game.
The normal people of eIreland should really look in the direction of the 'IRA' boys who dragged you all into direct conflict with the eUK over the Northern Ireland issue that just never existed in the game of eRepublik.
eIreland for so many eRep days were the close friend of the eUK, you allowed them to take over and jump in on the back end of someone elses war (eCanada and the eUSA HAD a reason to dislike the eUK), this looks likes your reward.
Croatians are more fun though 😛

Whils't i'm not against direct conflict with eIreland i have always considered PTO's to be a really s**tty way of waging war. And to attempt to destroy a country politically just for the lulz is childish at best.

Not much of an ally considering it takes 5 people for you to melt down to the extent that you attempt a military junta, I still see eIreland as more of a clinger on anyway.
Like I said, you need to look at why you find yourself in this silly, rather tragic situation, and who caused it.

JvB, the universe will continue to expand - or maybe contract - to a level that will lead to either a big crunch (opposite of the big bang) or simply spread itself over so vast an area that the gravitational force won´t be strong enough to pull atoms together, resulting in no new star or planet formations. cold, dead stars everywhere would just be a symptom.

Time will stop because nothing will happen.
As someone said, eventually all heat will dissipate into space.
No heat, and no light, will mean energy will not be converted.
All plantes and stars will be "dead", hence the blackness.
Life will, as a result, be extinguished.
So, no life and, no energy conversion, and the only things moving will be orbiting things.
In short, nothing will change, and so time will have "paused", and (officialy) ended.
Matter will not end, but a since nothing is happening, space time will freeze.
And then there's the matter of the nature of the universe, and it's possible capabilty or "restarting" time by self destructing and reforming, but that is uncertain, so many theories.
But, that'll all happen in a few trillion trillion years, and I'm sure the erep servers will have shut down by then 😃
